I bought this for my 81 camaro. The alternator works well. I had it tested before installation because there was a squeak when I turned the pulley. It was slight but I've had bad alternators from new before. This one checked out though.

Worked. However, the decal on the alternator said “made with pride for AC Delco”, so I doubt it made directly by AC Delco, but rather a 3rd party.

Went belly-up in less than 2 years with only limited use. 250 miles/year max. Delco nor Amazon will stand behind it.
