Worked on my 2004 Silverado 1500. I did a coolant swap and replaced the water pump. Right now it’s been running way too cool… almost like the stat is open. This part number says it fits but I’m not 100% sure it’s the right thermostat now….. truck shouldn’t be running as cool as it is. Might also be a temp sensor issue. ... show more

Nice quality, real deal AC Delco part, not a knock-off. The termostat will look different than the old one you pull out, don’t worry it’s fine, this one looks different (does not have the 4 flow holes like your old one) because it was redesigned to work better, the water flows more evenly and with less stress on the water pump. This new one opens up way quicker than the old one that was in there which is nice. ... show more

Fit right in. These are always a great thing to change. Not very expensive and keep your vehicle temperature at a good place. When overheated, these are due for a change. Don't hesitate to change on your own, as well. Extremely simple, few screw and find location and how to videos on you tube.

I installed this in my 2006 GTO. I had an AcDelco professional thermostat before this and the difference is notable. This one is built like a tank compared to the cheaper looking professional which is made by Motorad.
