  • Great torque wrench and easy to use.
Purchased mainly for the degree feature on this torque wrench as the wrench isn't really used for much else in my own opinion because just due to the precision of this torque wrench i wouldn't advise using it on torquing wheels. This torque wrench is mainly for torquing cylinder heads or crankshaft bearings or other torque applications that involve critical torque. Many i work with say "why not buy a Snap-on Tech Angle". The reason is because they are just too expensive so this is the next best option. I already own the 3/8 Digital Torque Wrench from ACdelco and have had nothing but success with it as i personally love it but trying to torque cylinder head bolts with a 3/8'' torque wrench is difficult so i had to purchase a 1/2'' version. Couple features about the torque wrench as it does N-m, Kg-cm, In-lb., Ft-lb, Angle Degree. The buttons are very easily to switch between different modes and the most feature used is the angle mode as it is EXTREMELY HELPFUL. It's just so simple as you press A-F-K button until it shows the degree in the corner then you toggle up or down to set the degrees. Now i seen many reviews that when you reach a degree it doesn't stop and reset, you have 0 it and restart and yes that is correct as it isn't like the Snap on that resets to 0 when you reach a preset degree. You will have to 0 it and then move on to the next bolt but if you try to turn it on the next bolt the buzzer with sound telling you that you have reached the degree. It's almost dummy proof in my opinion. The torque wrench is a good quality torque wrench as i have used it several times on cylinder heads. I think the only issue i see is when you are using degree tracking, the tracking works surprisingly well as it when you need to ratchet it back to swing the degree keeps set at what you stopped at but it does take a second for it to compensate as when you swing then sweep more degrees it will almost like not measure the degree. Also the ratchet is not a fine tooth ratchet so when you are sweeping it may not register a degree because it hast''t engaged on the next paw in the ratchet gear. It's not a horrible digital torque wrench, the accuracy i spot on as i have used on digital torque wrenches such as the Snap-on's and all seem to be inline with the correct torque. However the degree tracking it a little troublesome to get used to, it does work and i haven't had any issues yet and all seems to be going okay. Overall, i would say i would recommend this torque wrench as a substitute because it's a good decent quality torque wrench just half the cost of others. ... show more

  • Precise
The ACDelco 1/2-inch Digital Angle Torque Wrench has become one of my go-to tools in the shop, especially for engine and drivetrain work that calls for torque + angle procedures. It’s accurate, easy to use, and built like a tank. The digital display is clear and easy to read, and the beep + vibration feedback makes it almost impossible to overshoot a spec. Whether I’m torquing cylinder heads, flywheels, or axle nuts, I trust this wrench to get it right every time. The angle function is a game changer — no need for an angle gauge or guessing. Just set the torque and angle, and it walks you through both steps. Great for newer vehicles that list torque-to-yield specs in degrees. Battery life is solid, calibration feels tight, and the tool itself has a nice heft without being bulky. It’s also great that it stores torque history and works in ft-lb, in-lb, and Nm for versatility. If you’re serious about precision and work on modern engines or suspension systems regularly, this wrench is worth every penny. It’s not just a torque wrench — it’s a diagnostic tool for fastener integrity. ... show more

  • Fantastic for TTY fasteners
Easy to use, easy to set, easy to hear. Overall it is great. If I had one complaint, it is that the auto-shutoff is a bit aggressive. A couple times I set it, hand tightened a bolt, and it shut off before it registeres that I was using it.

  • Battery was getting stuck in the wrench
Accuracy on mine seems spot on, even at the lowest values, but I'd still verify things before using it on anything sensitive at low torque. The lowest calibration point is at 68N.m (~50ft-lbs), and they only guarantee accuracy in the 20-100% range. You'd be taking a very expensive gamble using these on spark plugs, for example. The auto shut-off time for these seems to be 3 minutes, which is better than the 2 minutes on many of the competing products, but I don't think the angle gyro is used to keep it on (if you're holding it, vs it being on the ground), which is a shame. The main problem I had was with the battery compartment. An assembly screw was too long and it was indirectly squeezing the battery tube. One of the AA batteries kept getting stuck in the wrench and refused to come out. The moment I started to loosen the screw (the one holding the knurled red grip in place) the battery immediately came free. I'll probably just grind down the screw or something so it's shorter, but it's definitely a pain. ... show more

  • WISH I BOUGHT SOONER
Absolutely a GREAT deal. Wish I had bought sooner. Needed torque angle before and can tell you my method was not even comparable to this. Super easy to use. Built an engine today that required torque specs and 105 degrees of tightening after. I am not a professional mechanic, but I can do anything with enough time and money. I was pleased with the ease of use, and the feeling of knowing it is done right. If you are questioning (as I did) don't hesitate to buy. Added bonus the case it comes in was a surprise as well super nice and padded inside. ... show more

  • Cheap plastic on the end
works i like the display everything that goes with it ,the torque it just right ,accuracy is good the size is perfect for torquing wheels but the feel is alr but cheap the plastic tip of the battery broke and the battery keeps falling which don’t let the torque even read because it turns off and on

  • Just buy it
Works great. Calibrate in about 3 seconds. Loud beeps. Angle is spot on. Tested torque on snap on truck it was .63 off and that’s good enough for me. I’ve rebuilt 3 motors with it in about 6 months and still works as good as new. Case is super nice. Only thing I don’t like is how slow changing torque or angle takes. Won’t start skipping by 5 or ten. Definitely worth the money. And yes it works better then the snap on one I had before. The snap off one lasted 1 year and it fried. We will see how the longevity is with this ac delco. ... show more
