If you think this is going to be a moldable soft memory foam pillow move on .. this is NOT that. its very very firm and when I first bought them they were for my son. he didn't like them and gave them to me saying they were too hard. I got him memory foam pillows that were a little softer and more molded to his head. Love these. at first I was like... these are like a brick but got used to them and love the support! Update.. I am updating this review A year later these are still the best pillows I've ever bought... Anywhere that I stay anywhere else I cannot sleep because I don't have my pillow!! UPDATE 2. 2 YEARS ON STILL FIRM .. little bit less than before but still amazing! Love them!

I thought these pillows were cool because I'd be able to add foam if they weren't full enough. I expected them to be pretty flat and sad because they were cheap. But oh boy! These pillows came so filled I had to remove about half the foam from each to be able to use them for my head when sleeping on my side! Very plush, very comfortable. There's an inner zippered pillow filled with chopped memory foam and an outer, fluffy, down feeling (but it's not real down) outer zippered pillowcase. Really high quality construction all around, a great value. They arrive really, really, like comically compact. Give them a few hours to decompress and achieve full size.

I know it’s easy to skip over the good reviews but I like to give my honest experience. I was skeptical about buying pillows online because we’re so sensitive to pillow changes. You definitely can remove some of the filling if it’s too puffy/hard for you but we didn’t need to. It did take an adjustment period of about a week ( a couple cricks in the neck in the morning) and after that, the pillows softened and started to mold to our head shapes. I bought these months and months ago and they’re still holding up perfectly. Regular queen size pillow cases fit great and even have a little room to spare. They’re much cooler than our old pillows which is so important to us since we live in a very warm climate.

Those were the first words out of my mouth when I opened up the package. I cut open the vacuum seal, pulled out the pillow, sat there kinda confused at what was going on for a second, then shook my head and actually said “Nope, absolutely not” out loud to myself as I tried to figure out how to package it right back up. It’s basically two pillows in one. The inside one is a flimsy little pillow filled shredded foam pieces. The outer pillow, which zips up and forms an outer shell, is covered with a weird crunchy almost plasticky material that crinkles loudly with movement. Not sure how anyone is supposed to sleep on that.

My nine year old has always wanted to buy a memory foam pillow, and i have tried the ones from Costco, but they usually wear out pretty fast, the side you sleep on usually creates a permanent dent. This pillow is made of memory foam blocks instead one whole piece. Upon reading the reviews I decided to give memory foam pillows another try. I received these few months ago and gave it to my son as Christmas gift. He told me its really comfortable for him, and he definitely sleeps better. Definitely recommend it to anyone that has has had a bad experience with the one piece memory foam pillow.

I was very excited about this pillow...at first! The pillow was very comfortable, soft and yet firm for neck and shoulder. Due to its design of memory foam as an inner pillow combined with the soft down alternative surround made the pillow very comfortable and yet firm enough to support your shoulder and neck. However that comfort lasted 10 days! After that the down alternative shifted and clumped to the edges of the pillow, leaving lumpy memory foam in the middle were your head rests. Could not redistribute down alternative so it would stay, leaving the pillow very uncomfortable, lumpy without neck support.

I've been looking for comfortable pillows (I'm a right side sleeper) for literally years. I decided to take a chance on these since the firmness could be adjusted. I just opened one at first to try it out (once you "inflate" them there is no going back in the original package.) It was too firm so I removed 1 1/2 I gallon ziplock bags full of chunks of foam (don't bother with the 2 ridiculously small bags they give you. It's hard stuffing the fill in and even harder to get back out. Trust me.). This removal made the pillow useable. So onto the next pillow. I opened it and "inflated" it and it was under stuffed. Lucky for me I had the stuffing from the first pillow so I added that and will test it out tonight. And that's how I know how hard it is to get the stuffing back out if the teeny tiny bag that comes with. Bottom line is that I'm not jumping for joy over these pillows but they are better than any others I've found so far. I hope the company's quality control improves.

Once removed from vacuum sealed package, it expands quickly to size. I was pleasantly surprised there is no smell. The pillow stuffing is chunks of foam, and I removed about half. There is additional padding (probably to get rid of the lumpy feel) around the pillow. Overall a comfortable comprised between foam and traditional pillow.
