  • Definitely helpful! A Godsend for us!
Before I start my review I want to make 2 things known: 1- This is not an AC unit. It's a fan. It's purpose is to push the air out of your vent faster and farther but it WILL NOT make the air any cooler than it already is. 2- The purpose of the thermostat on this device is so the user can adjust the temperature setting that will trigger the fan to turn on or off. Again, it will NOT make the air coming out of the vent any cooler, because its just a fan! If you want the fan to kick on and stay on you need to set the temperature to a number that is lower than the temperature of the air that is coming out of your AC register. So for example if you keep your AC thermostat set on 70° you'll want to set the thermostat on this device to a number much lower than that. Doing so will allow the fan to kick on and it will continue running until you turn it off yourself. If you want it to turn off on its own, you'll need to experiment with the temperature in your room to find that perfect number setting. Now for my review: THIS THING WORKS!! The AC unit in our home unfortunately does not push enough cool air to the second level of our house. This makes our rooms stuffy and hot. Its definitely several degrees warmer upstairs than it is downstairs. So we thought we'd give one of these a try before investing in a minisplit. All I can say is WOW! Such a noticeable difference this thing makes! Our bedroom is so much more comfortable now. We actually have two vents in our room but only one of these devices and it is cooling off the room enough that two aren't needed. We've been using ours for about two months now and it has ran continuously on top speed without issue! I actually plan to purchase 3 more for our other bedrooms. If you're on the fence about trying this product take my advice and add it to your cart! The only possible con I will note is that this fan is not that quiet. I don't mind because I love white noise. But if you are putting the fan speed on level 10 please know that you might consider this too noisy for your liking. It does however come with lower speed settings that you may find more suitable for you. ... show more

  • Just buy it
My bedroom is the furthest from the ac and I have floor vents for reference. In the winter my room stays a lot colder and in the summer it’s a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house (which means I’m either melting or freezing someone in the other rooms). It has oscillating fan type noise which doesn’t bother me at all but if you’re a light sleeper it may take a bit to get used to. It has already won me over and proved it can pull the correct temperature into my room. My only wish is that it had screw hole covers or different types of vents. ... show more

  • It works!
Painless to install and set up. Quiet and easy to adjust temp and fan. Has made a huge difference in the bedroom it is used in. For some reason the AC does not flow into this bedroom as it does into all the other rooms. We have had the ducts cleaned and inspected, no issues were found. Was hesitant to purchase as I felt it was a little pricy, totally worth it. Able to keep the thermostat in a normal range for the rest of the house now. As to the longevity of the product, we will see. ... show more

  • Game Changer - Works better than expected!
I Iive in a townhouse where the sun beats on my master bedroom wall/ceiling for 7hrs a day, normally the temperature is at least 10° warmer upstairs versus main level where the thermostat is located. I bought two of these, put one in my master bedroom and one in my guest. After an hour of both running at fan speed 7 you could not tell the difference in temperature between my main floor and the bedrooms I couldn't believe it. I checked the temperature again the following day at 1:00 p.m. one of the hottest points of the day and again both the master bedroom and guest bedroom stayed feeling the same temperature as the main floor....It's the first time this has ever happened since I've been living in this home for the last 7 years. What I really like about this product, the fans do not shut off when your AC shuts off, so it's constantly pulling the cold air through the vents into your room where it's located, until it reaches the temperature set. I feel like I'm constantly getting cold air as I'm running my AC. I would highly recommend to anyone who has heat distribution issues in their home, also can use in lieu of dampers. • HUGE Difference in Temp
After my 18 y/o daughter kept complaining about how hot the room was when she was home, I bought this. We are new to the house and still learning about room temps during the year. She stuck this in the floor vent and was thrilled at the temp change! There were no directions, so we didn't understand how to work the temp stuff, but just turning on the fan to pull out the cold air from the duct works wonders! After reading another review, the person mentioned the temp of the duct drives the ability to shut off/on automatically and then it made a little more sense. I kept thinking the snowflake icon was to make it cold and the fire icon was to make it hotter, then you just pick a temperature like you do on your house controls and it turns on/off. No, it is not quite like that. The temperature on the display tells you what the duct temp is, the temperature settings you choose with the heat/cold feature tells the system fan to start when the duct is registering at that temperature. This thing is amazing. We are also ceiling fan people so the fact that the fan couldn't even cool the room down and the register does this without a fan is wonderful. There are a couple of other vents that are super weak, but the rooms aren't affected the same way and empty 99% of the time so I will hold off buying more unless it becomes an obvious necessity. Worth the money, worth having in summer especially. ... show more
