i have been using the 4 inch filter on the intake side of a 195CFM (advertised) fan, with an additional universal HEPA filter on the exhaust, & the thing is still scrubbing odors.... TWO YEARS LATER!!! It's pulling such a low volume of air, i haven't had to clean the prefilter. It recently started working a bit less effectively so i removed the prefilter and am about to order a replacement... i figured a 5 star review was only appropriate. I'm not using this thing for anything that generates a ton of offensive odors, so my review is probably a bit bias. I just use it to filter the air in my bedroom, in my bedroom grow tent, which i grow normal plants in, like dwarf umbrella trees, snake plants, palms and whatnot... There's just a lot of data on indoor air quality, I figure, you spend the most time in your bedroom, might as well pamper the air. two years... non-stop for two whole years... granted, I had humidity controlled around 50% and the flow was much lower than the filters rated 210 CFM (fan will not push anywhere near 195CFM with two filters on it). still impressed. ... show more

Seems to be a good quality filter. I've been running mine for 10 months in a bloom only tent. On the 4th harvest with this filter I could smell outside pretty good before the chop. So I think I'm going to have to replace this before I'm ready for the next harvest. Many other users claim they have gotten 18+ months out of this filter so this is why I only give 4 stars. However, it could be that others are using this for veg and bloom where as I am only using it for bloom thus filtering a much stronger odor more often. I used Vivosun & iPower filters before this and the G-Hydro is much better. I got many defective units or ones that wouldn't even last six months with the other brands. The G-Hydro isn't much more expensive and is worth it for sure. Edit: Purchased another one April 2021 and I can smell odor worse than the year old one I just disposed of... Very disappointed with the replacement I purchased so far. Going to reach out to G-Hydro and see if they make me right. Will update again. ... show more

So far so good. Definitely keeps smells down as advertised. I was sceptical at first due to so many filters of low quality available. Great looking prefilter with name on side. Few week update. This filter performed very well. Definitely pleased with its performance

Works perfectly currently growing 3 plants of mj and this does an excellent job of keeping the smell inside the tent i would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to keep the smell from that good stuff inside the tent and not in the house

works as advertised. removes all odors and fits a 4inch fan. the flange is a little larger than the one on the exhaust fan so tubing is needed for a tight fit. best part was, it was in stock and delivered next day for free versus other filters that never seem to be in stock. also i like the black color that matches the rest of my system, it's the little things ... show more

Great filter, been using one for 4 months now with vent fan on for 18 hours/day. Noticed only a faint smell today around the grow tent hardly noticable. Liked it so much I bought another one.
