    • Decent set that gives you ALMOST everythign you need.
Great tool set that provides you pretty everything you'll need for working on your car, in that it has all the SAE and Metric wrenches and sockets. The various ratchets work well, but do feel of a lesser quality than some of my other nicer tools, but this whole set costs as much as like two of those...so it's a reasonable trade off. The overall tool chest is nice, and it does conveniently store all of the tools in one place, that is also rather portable, thanks to the carrying handle on top. This set is rather heavy though, so I wouldn't expect most people to lug the whole thing around with them. My only complaint of the case is that it's a bit hard to open and access all of the drawers, especially when it's cold out. I needed to access these tools, which were stored in my garage this past winter, and it was SOOO hard to open. The plastic must rely only it being more malleable to open, and when it's below 30 degrees out, it just did not want to budge open. Overall, i haven't really needed to use too many tools yet, but the ones i have used worked well enough. I found that navigating the chest is not intuitive to me (having some bits in a drawer with some sockets, and another drawer being the same way, vs just having ALL of the sockets in one drawer), but everything is easily identifiable and findable. ... show more

I got this kit to be a complete and portable kit. There are so many tools in this kit that it will be great to keep in the jeep when we go to the mountains. The blow molded case is of decent quality. The drawers have a spot for all the tools so it is easy to see when the elusive 10mm runs off to lands unknown. The closures are made of plastic and I have had issues where as the contact points begin to wear there is a chance that the clips could become disengaged as the box is lifted from the top, just something to keep in mind. The tools are good, no worse than Harbor Freight's Pittsburgh line. The case on the other hand? It is horrible. The trays have no retention of the tools, they spill constantly, at the slightest movement. Then you have a big mess to sort. I consider the plastic case to be a temporary container. You will need to find a better way to store these. Two stars off because the case is so terrible and you will have to spend money on tool storage. ... show more

Biggest gripe is the case itself - it's flimsy and sturdy at the same time. Sturdy in places it shouldn't matter, and flimsy in places it should. Like another reviewer mentioned, the trays that the tools are held in do not hold them snug and you'll find them tossed around even if you're just pulling it out. It's a big hassle and such an oversight or worse, intentional cost cutting decision. The tools are fine. This is a good place to start for having a large variety of wrenches, sockets, keys, bits, and other stuff. It's convenient to have it all organized in one place. This set of tools is actually pretty good fits well in my back shed I sometimes do repairs in my backyard on my cars instead of my garage where i have most of my tools and this set has just about everything I need. I really like this set of tools. The quality is great at this price point. It's quite heavy overall. I'm happy it survived shipping with no damage. The case it sturdy but isn't perfect. The sides bow out just a little bit. The drawers (especially the middle one) sometimes drop below their slots. This causes drag on the drawer below it. Otherwise I really like the case.
