The good: easy to assemble and adjust length. Lightweight (2lbs 6 oz) The not so good: slip joints are a little loose, giving it a bit of a rattle. Joints are too close to hand position (unlike some others that connect in the exact center and/or at the paddle ends). Good for casual use.

I ordered this paddle to use as a spare, or for guests or friends to use. My own paddles are higher-end carbon and considerably lighter than this paddle, but they cost ten times what this paddle costs. For the money, this is really a very nice paddle. PROS: • The paddle joins with a separate center section, and you can use the different push-pin holes to have lengths ranging from 210 to 230cm in 5cm increments (about 83 to 91 inches). The adjustable length is great for trying different lengths or for different users to choose their preferred length. The paddle can be joined with no offset in the blade angles, or about 60 degrees of feather either way. The joint is solid with very little play. • The blades are quite stiff, very good for injection molded plastic and they have nice contoured shape. • The paddle shafts and the center connector are all sealed so large amounts of water won’t collect inside the shaft. The seals in the paddle shafts are down pretty far toward the blades so some water could collect. • The drip rings, which keep water from running down the shaft onto your hands, are made from a solid, substantial rubber material. CONS: • I weighed the assembled paddle at 38 ounces. That’s a little heavy, but not bad for an inexpensive paddle. • The aluminum shafts are round with no ovalized areas at the grip positions. OVERALL: • I’m quite impressed with this paddle for the money. It feels well made, has the handy adjustable length feature, and weight is appropriate for an inexpensive paddle.

A nice sturdy, configurable paddle. Heavier than fiber-glass + carbon paddles, but better suited to real-world use messing about on the lake. You won't win any races with these paddles, but you will have fun in summer. - Good range of lengths for adult use: the five length holes allow for about 8.5 inches of adjustment. - Ambidextrous (& noob friendly): the three pitch holes allow for inline blades or +/-30 degrees of feathering. - About 40 inches long when dismantled, so car trunk friendly. Right now it's too cold here to test the "floating" claim but the blades seem thick enough to have some built-in buoyancy.
