This actually works. I thought it was gimmicky. You do have to assemble, there are no instructions but you can figure it out from the picture. I used this on my granite and wood floors. You have to make sure you push hard and then clamp to get good suction. I did sit ups and this did not budge. Then I had my son do the same and again it didn't move at all. Next we did sit ups using the handle/band. This part does look a little flimsy but it held up.

Firstly, the packaging is basically no frills. Putting together the unit was easy even though there were no instructions as you just look at the picture and figure out where everything needs to go. Once you put it together in less than 2 minutes, how does it work? In short, it does not work on any parts of your body! The stretch bands that connect to the base to handle does not provide enough resistance to give an adult or child (over 5 years old) any meaningful workout. I spent more time working out my brain cells (to put it together) than getting any physical exercise from this thing. The suction cups that are supposed to stabilize the unit to the ground does not work, so you are left with using your feet to keep it in place as you pull on the stretchy band handle. You might as well just get stretch bands with loops to create the same exercise. I used it on my smooth hardwood floors and didn't work. It would definitely not work on a gym mat. It is small and you can bring it with you on trips, but you don't want to waste luggage space for this; measured resistance bands would work much better. I cannot see myself using it again. This was a bust!

This ab trainer was fairly intuitive to understand how to put it together. Didn’t take long. I liked the foam pads, it looked like it would be comfortable to use. I was so excited to try it. But alas, our tile floor has a little texture to it, causing slight variations in height, so the suction cups on this device would not stick to our floor. I really don’t have any other flooring that this would work on. I’m so disappointed. I don’t know how to use this if it won’t stick to the floor. I certainly can’t pull against it without the end being stable. I’m at a loss here. I would say if you have perfectly slick clean marble floors, maybe this will work for you. If not, I would recommend searching for a different type of product. I’m giving it some stars for the nice materials of the product itself, but it just wouldn’t work in my situation.

This ab training device is a great concept and really helps with sit-ups and core workouts. The pull bar is sturdy and makes it easier to keep proper form. It’s lightweight and easy to set up, which is a plus. My only complaint is that the suction didn’t hold well on my floor, so it slipped a bit during use. It might work better on completely smooth surfaces. Overall, it’s a helpful tool for quick at-home workouts, but be aware the suction may vary depending on your flooring.

When this first arrived I was skeptical that it would work and/or prove heavy enough to handle my workouts. I am a pretty weighty guy at 240lbs and have been working out since I was 9 years old. Well, today I used it and it: 1) actually stayed stuck to the floor through sit-ups, and 2) worked great when I tried a few upright rows and lat pulls with approx. 100lbs of resistance bands (not included in this so not actually an exercise this is designed for) and not only stayed attached to the floor but never gave any evidence that it would become loosened at any point. I really got it for the ability to do sit-ups well when travelling, etc.. but I tried the other exercises just to push the envelope, so to speak. I was thoroughly impressed with the performance of this unit, especially at such a low price point. Highly Recommended!
