So far so good. I replaced the mood lighting I had on my back deck with these. Previously I was using an LED light string (single color) and had it wrapped around the railings. It was nice but having the wire wrapped like that collected dirt and didn’t look so nice during the day. These LED strips are so much cleaner and uniform. I’m hoping the adhesive stays put. I used a little silicone caulking in various places (corners and bends) to help. Placing it in a straight line is a breeze! Going around a turn, not so much. You cannot get anything close to a 90deg turn. And if you arent careful you can stress the strip so that the waterproof covering splits and exposes the flex circuit below. Had to slap some caulking on that part. The controller and power brick arent waterproof. Mine are on the deck itself which is covered. I may wraps connections with some plastic wrap as well. But if you try to have them exposed to water they will eventually fail and or corrode. In the picture that is 1 3/4 reels used. I cut off the extra and caulked the end in case. Since I had to use a connector to join the two strings I’ll need to caulk that as well. The fact that this set uses wifi and an app is a huge bonus. While those IR remotes are nice…they will get lost and you won’t always have line of sight to the receiver. White isn’t exactly white…but that’s how these colored LEDs are. If you want pure white you probably shouldn’t get the color changing kind. The brightness is just what I needed for my purposes. It’s to provide some mood lighting while in the jacuzzi or sitting out by the fire pit. You won’t need to turn on the real lights that attract the damn bugs. If you want these to provide actual lighting they made not provide enough and you would probably have to double up on the strips. I really like the look and may get another string to add some additional lighting on the jacuzzi itself. ... show more

Great led lights for the outside of the house was easy to install not disappointed at all they are still up after 4 days of having them up I’ve bought other led lights that wouldn’t stay up definitely recommend this product!

Update March 2021: We've had these on every night since last July and there has only ever been one problem, which we repaired with the extra pin plug thingy that goes between the box and the strip of lights. They work so well! You can choose a color on the color wheel, move the dot around until you find the color desired, and voila, orange for Halloween, red-green fade for Christmas, etc. Usually we use the 7ncolor cross fade. One issue remains: their remote control is garbage. Neither one we had ever worked, and there are zero instructions included. The app has a range of 8-10 feet, so you have to take your phone and go stand close to the box/plug, connect via Bluetooth, and then make your changes. I just programmed mine to come on every night and go off every morning. It saved the timer after we list power for 18 hours in 17 degrees (F), and the lights are *outdoors.* I'm impressed. Original review: These were so easy to put up. I have them on my porch under the edge of the roof, and they adhered much better than expected. If you're picky about straight lines, get it on right the first time. The lights work great. The app is screwy, and once you set your preferred mode, the app will show random modes every time you open it (but the lights retain the mode you set). If you try to change the mode via the app, it will show a double image unless you close all apps and reopen. The remote we received wouldn't work. They sent a new one on request, but I've just been using the phone app and haven't even tried the new one yet. The lights look great on my porch and are bright enough that they are all the illumination necessary (unless you want to read or work on something) . ... show more

Excellent product. I would recommend having someone help you put it up. It only takes 5 minutes to set up its just nice to have an extra set of hands. The lights are very bright and have a very wide range of color options. The music options can be hit or miss but for me they work 90% of the time (depends on the song since they’re noise activated). I set mine up on the top of a book shelf so the wires aren’t showing and the receiver is somewhere that it can pick up the remote commands from anywhere. I’m having trouble uploading the videos I took but I will try doing it again. These lights work great for any social gathering, especially if you have more than one set. I personally will be buying more so I can line my whole living/dining room and hallways. If your looking for a way to spice up your room, these are what you’re looking for. Excellent value for what you’re getting and they are super easy to set up and control. The hardest part is figuring out where you’re going to hook it up. I would recommend measuring out the space you have and measuring the distance from each of your outlets so you can make an informed decision on where exactly you are going to set these up. Don’t forget that the control box has the receiver for the remote, so try to put it somewhere you can see it from most positions in the room to avoid having to walk up to it every time you want to change a setting ... show more
