The media could not be loaded. This slim unit is a beast of power. It is not the awkward brick that most are. This is slim and tall. It has casters on the bottom to make it easy to maneuver and position. The remote control works from a good distance to adjust the temperature, fan strength and time. I used it from about 15' across a very large room and it was perfect. This requires very little set up other than removing packaging. As this also works as a dehumidifier, this will collect ambient water from the air. You can use the included hose to run this to a drain, if it within about 6' or have it collect in a container. In the US south, we get upwards of 60% humidity. This brought the humidity down to a reasonable 45% within a couple hours. This is easy to clean with a damp cloth. The power cord is heavy duty and the unit is level and sturdy. No knocks, rattles, whines or other strange noises. Just a hum to let you know its working. You'll feel the air starting to cool within minutes. The adjustable window attachment with the large air hose, to allow you to bring in outside air, fits well into our sliding window. ... show more

This does a fair job of cooling and needs a drain hose connected. The web site does not adequately state that this is not self draining. If no drain hose is connected, it will eventually fill with water and shut off. How long this takes depends on the humidity. In short, not bad for a temporary solution. To conserve energy, we looked at small A/C units for a small office/room in the house. It is about 150 sq-ft, and it has a ceiling fan., But in the summer it still gets too hot, unless we put the house A/C on. Given that the office is used for quite a few hours, but the rest of the home has no one in it, it seemed like a huge waste. We looked at a window A/C, but that requires either a wall modification, or ugly setup, since our windows slide horizontally, not vertically. Another member of the family has two of them in a small one bedroom, and he loves these portable A/C. It was time for us to get one, and this unit was more than adequate for our needs. It has enough cooling power, it has two options to drain. I chose the upper one, into a big jar, because it is not a manual operation, and it works with the a/c function. I like the app as well, especially since I can set the temp in advance of getting into the room. Note that I used blue painters tape to seal the holding mechanism for the outlet pipe. I got it to work a bit, and the noise is not overpowering. It is in the range specified on the product page. It is heavy, but very easy to move on its wheels. It doesn’t have auto moving louver, like some other models, but for us it would have been a waste. And most importantly, at the end of the summer heat, we remove it all in 5 minutes, and wheel it to storage. No permanent change like a window A/C. A pleasure. ... show more
