    • Must use expensive Epson ink
The printer is inexpensive but Epson thru its software updates makes you use their ink only. Which is twice as much as others $40 and doesn't print much. I belive they are being sued for this feature.

The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because if you’re out of color ink and are only trying to print in black ink it will NOT print. It needs all ink in order to print in black ink which makes no sense to me. Also the ink doesn’t last at all after only printing about 10 or so papers it was completely out of ink, but besides that it prints wonderfully, scans good and you can also fax. I haven’t used the faxing part being that I can fax off of my phone. They need to do something about only being able to print with all ink cartridges. It’s way too expensive to have to buy keep buying ink after only printing about 10 papers and mind you I’ve only ever printed in black ink so you can understand my surprise when all the ink cartridges were empty 🤦🏽♀️. I decided to switch to a portable inkless printer. I did keep this printer only to be able to print things for my children’s school projects ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Doesnt print at all (not even black & white) if color ink runs out 😂😂😂….put in new ink… never use printer in weeks…when i need to use it again apparently its out of ink. How tf?!?! Please explain!!!! i put new ink…use it once … weeks later when i need to use it again it claims its out of ink!!! Trash product from garbage company. Lucky they get 1/5 stars really it deserves 0/5 ... show more

Printer works fairly well for the money but ink is expensive! NEVER, NEVER update your firmware!!! NEVER!! Epson has written code to not work with non-Epson ink cartridges!! I have $100 worth of new, off brand ink that I've been using on two Epson printers for years and all of a sudden they stopped working after the updates? Just replaced two color cartridges, printed and then it stopped after the update. NEVER UPDATE or better yet, get a laser printer ... show more
