A great way to save a decent amount of money. I was quoted well over $50.00 to install a new air filter at the dealership, so I politely declined and ordered this one. It arrived very well packaged with well-written and illustrated installation instructions. My mechanical skills are extremely modest, but why not give it a try? I have a VW Atlas, and to get to the old air filter meant undoing 8 screws that were all the same. Once they were taken care of, I could easily lift the cover and get right to removing the old filter. It took seconds to remove the filter and replace it with this one. The fit is absolutely perfect, snug without being tight. The filter is very well made and looks it. There are two principal layers of filtration, and these layers reach every corner of the filter space. There was no odor from the existing filter, so there has been no change in odor experienced. The old filter was still quite clean, but now I am sure that when I go on a planned long-distance road trip, my car and breath easily, and I can enjoy the drive. ... show more
