Throttle response is firmer. Gas mileage has improved about 2 mpg and more horsepower. Product costs about what 2 regular filters and never needs replacing. Just get a recharge kit.

Been using these in all family owned cars and trucks since this filter first introduced itself. No complaints Better rear exhaust rumble in the V-8's. Better performance, idle, acceleration in all. Gas mileage difference I never cared about if better.

I have used K&N products for almost 50 years now. Mostly, the air filters, but also the oil filters as well. I don't think you can do any better than the K&N air filter I just replaced on my 2004 Silverado. It has almost 60,000 miles on it. They say it's a lifetime product, but who are we kidding? Everything breaks down with age. All I have to do is clean the old one, respray it with the K&N oil and now I'll have a backup if needed. ... show more

For the cost of just over two paper filters you can purchase a re-cleanable filter that will last a million miles. Not only that but you receive better performance and mileage at the same time.
