I am not an engine, so I can't comment about how it filters. It was easy to install. It looked good to me. According to Scotty Kilmer it works better that a "life time" filter which it replaced. So, for now I am happy.

Filter fit perfect and better quality than Napa Gold filter and more flow capacity than the napa. Don't be thrown or leary by being taller than standard existing filter. With the advent of the internet, brand loyalty takes a back seat to online reviews/testing. For years I used Fram because of their strong marketing. Turns out, it's crap. Made the switch to Wix. Better construction, reliability, and quality. Fit is always perfect, and performance is top notch.
