  • PERFECT MATCH.
The alternator worked great. It was new and in excellent condition. It arrived as estimated and the cost was comparable to the remanufactured alternators that are sold by local Auto parts stores. Thank you for asking.

  • Fits 2008 Kia Rondo, 4-Cylinder + Some installation tips!
Fits 2008 Kia Rondo, 4-Cylinder What a pain to work on a Kia—it feels like they don’t want you working on their cars. I’m not a mechanic, and it took me about 4 hours to finish this job. Accessing the Alternator: Disconnect the battery! Lift the car, remove the right tire, and then remove the plastic splash cover. This gives you access to the two alternator bolts. You really only need to remove the top bolt and just loosen the bottom bolt. You don't need to remove the bottom bolt, the alternator sits on that one, so just loosen it. Use a 17 mm wrench to release tension from the belt before loosening it. Removal/Installation: From the top, I removed everything I could, but space was tight—wiggling the alternator out takes patience and the right angle. I accidentally installed it backwards the first time (bolts didn’t line up, thought I had the wrong part). Reversed it, and it fit perfectly. Symptoms of a Bad Alternator: Battery not charging. Random dash lights: airbag, brake, ABS, etc. (all caused by low voltage). If you see those lights along with a battery warning, it’s likely the alternator. Tips: Keep bolts organized. I used a pill box to track them. You’ll need about 10 replacement push clips for the plastic covers, so order like 20. A good mechanic can do this faster, but expect more time if it’s your first try. Time: Took me ~4 hours total, mostly because I had to figure it out as I went. Hope this helps someone else tackling the job. ... show more
