For the $$$ you can't beat this exhaust. Fit like the factory OEM & installed fairly simple. Hardest thing was getting the old rusted exhaust off. This piece will fit extended cabs as well as single cab trucks. The only difference is the piece of exhaust that goes to the catalytic converter, that will be longer or shorter depending on cab size and that is NOT included in this package. ... show more

The bends and the quality of the pipe and muffler is very good. I think this will last for years. I had no problem getting this to fit on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma Xtra cab 4x4. Sounds stock also.

    • Initial impressions are pretty good
Just installed this on my 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4WD 2.7L a few days ago, and my initial impressions are fairly positive. It's difficult to make a comparison to the 26-year old OEM exhaust that was rusted into pieces, but this seems decent enough. A few issues: The bents are not mandrel bent with a smooth curve around the radius. There are pinches and folds in the bends. I'm sure there's no detectable difference in performance on a stock vehicle, but it's definitely a sign of a cheaper exhaust. And there are a ton of stickers on it, which is silly for an exhaust that's going to be at high temp. But the important thing is that everything lined up properly and fit exactly where the original unit was, and my truck is nice and quiet now. ... show more

    • Arrived damaged but repairable. Quality of the welds is poor. Overall disappointing.
Update. Really, just don’t buy this. The quality of workmanship is horrid. The flange on the inlet end of the muffler is press fit and spot welded and leaks like crazy. Sorry I ever purchased this. Complete garbage.. It’s not suitable as a short term fix let alone a viable replacement. Was shipped in a cardboard box with absolutely no protection and arrived 3 days late. Inlet of the muffler was bent but I was able to open it up using an 1-1/2 socket as a swedge. Muffler is dented and the hangers are bent, I hope the welds don’t break when I bend them back. I would return this and look elsewhere but I’m in a bind and need a new muffler. ... show more

    • No issues on my 99 Tacoma SR5
Fits well. If you have a lift kit or longer rear spring shackles, you may have to lower the tail pipe hanger. I have a lift and just lower that hanger. Tail pipe wasn't touching, but was too close to the leaf springs for my liking.
