  • Great generator!!!
Size: 2300 Watts Gas & Propane
It was easy to set up and runs like a gem. Compared to our other generators it runs smooth and quiet. Looking forward to camping with it.

  • NOISY (88/89db), but ok
Size: 2300 Watts Gas & Propane
Well, let's begin. Mind you I've only owned and operated for 1 day, but already want to dump it. Can't return once gas/fuel has been used!! WTH! AND AMAZON refuses to allow returns via web interface: STAY AWAY unless you put a 20 foot or greater cord on it from your site!!! PRO: Size: compact Weight: easy to pickup & move with handle & wheels even in rough grassy or dirt. Fairly easy to start, but I couldn't when plugged in. Had to disconnect plug and easy pull. Choke ok. Control panel ok. Wish it had an hour reader for oil changes, bought one for $5, but instal took an hour: tight quarters. Start instructions ok, but more under con. Amenities: oil fuel, oil, 10-30W just enough, 1/2 pint, cable adapter for 30 amp 3-round prongs to 3-prong extension cord input. CON: Oil spilled a bit in case because every mfgr doest care about ease of maintenance. Matter of fact changing oil looks to be a nightmare as probably need to remove most of all the case! Dumb. NON-INTUITIVE case side removal for oil input: unscrew a knob which IMO is being & not needed. THEN, a screw driver to pry very tight tab fitting side panel to the point i was so frustrated i was sure i would break the panel's sides; nervous as "really, can't be THIS difficult!". oil funnel has a bent which is nice but last tablespoon over filled into case bottom. KEEP THAT oil bottle & use for future changes. Zero help on how, when, to change oil: suggest wet finger in the wind. No gas level indicator, again, might over/under -fill. NOISY!! Researched & understood in mid 60's db range: NOT. Even on economy setting! I measured using cell dB meter @ 88/89 decibles. FULL power switch into 90's & that's why I'm dumping this. I'm selling it at huge discount; 1r2 just to move along to a better unit which after seeing others was HARBOR FREIGHT's mixed fuel: they swear they last & honestly i though as if not same as HONDAs!! FH has come a long way. CAN'T RETURN IF YOU USED IT WITH GAS, which of course is 90% of every first time user. I want mixed as my RV has a quick disconnect plugs near that rear area: hate packing gas remotely. POWERED our 110 FRIDGE, OUR RV AC, & all wall plugs! That was awesome on economy mode. But get a long, 20 foot plus extension cord to move away from people. ... show more

  • Works as stated

Started right up, runs quietly.

  • Started right up.
Size: 2300 Watts
Used for the first time to power my tire warmers during a motorcycle track day. It ran great. I checked on it often since I was relying on it for my safety (warm tires) on the track. It was a little louder than I thought it was going to be, hence the 4 stars, but not nearly as loud as some of my neighbors generators. So far so good. ~6 hrs used so far. ... show more

  • Quieter than an open frame generator, but not that quiet.
Size: 2250 Watts
I use this generator as the primary 120v power source for my campervan. While it is much more quiet than the open frame generator that it replaced, it's not at all stealthy or subtle. You will not be able to run this overnight in a campground without upsetting your neighbors, but it won't attract too much attention at a truck stop or rest area if you park near idling trucks. I mostly just use it to run a small portable air conditioner. That's asking a lot from a generator this small, but the generator gets the job done without too many issues as long as I don't run it in the eco-mode. My air conditioner sometimes starts hard after sitting for a while, and it can be a pain to get it to start. I have to start the generator, and flip the eco-switch on and then back off to keep the RPM high so that it won't bog down when the AC starts up. Once it gets past that initial hard start, the generator runs the AC just fine. Even without the eco-mode, I have never had to fill this generator up in the middle of the night. As long as I fill it full before I go to sleep, it seems to last all night without too many problems. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this generator. It's not as quiet as I hoped, but it's much better than the lawnmower level noise of an open frame generator. I didn't think I'd use the extendable handle very often, but I find myself using it more often than not. Now that I've had one, I don't think I'd buy a generator that didn't have one. ... show more

  • Bad plastic generator housing for access to check oil.
Size: 2300 Watts Gas & Propane
The case is not consumer friendly bad design plastic hatches for checking the oil almost have to dismantle unit to check pieces do not fit together well. Hard to start on propane. Runs rich until unit warms up. Built in handle and wheels are nice feature. Does deliver 15 amps on a 120 volt circuit.
