Description

6" x 12" repair patch offered in white, black, gray, or tan colors. This patch is perfect for repairing roof leaks, pond liners, cracked plastic bathtubs/showers/sinks, skylights, vinyl skirting, siding, and other endless uses. Instructions: 1.If repair is under water, lower water level below repair area and let dry. Surface needs to be 50 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer or else you need a Primer. 2.Clean area by scuffing with a pad then wiping down with denatured alcohol and let dry. Do not skip this important step. 3.Cut repair tape to the desired length and width with scissors or a razor. The tape should extend at least 2” around the crack. When sealing the outside of holding tanks, extend at least 3”. 4.Peel and stick (colored side up). The gray side is the adhesive with a clear release liner. 5.The adhesive is pressure activated, use of a roller recommended. 6.Allow the tape 24 hours to fuse before adding water. Tips: For cracked plastic bathtubs/showers/sinks, the crack will probably want to continue to expand. Drilling a small hole at each end of the crack may help keep it from running. Cover the final repair with a bathmat as glue may continue to seep out of the edges as the tape is being stepped on. The patch is best applied if temperatures are above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. If you've tried repairing liners with glues or other patches and had nothing but frustrations, you'll appreciate this high-quality product.

This stuck very well to my shower and sealed the incipient crack. However, I would warm other users to make sure they clean the sticky off the very edge before they lay it, something I did not do. Now there is a darker line around the edge where it pokes out from the clean crisp white. I will definitely bear this in mind if iI need to use it again. ... show more

I cleaned shower floor surface with a grease cutter, used a scrubber to scuff the area getting sealed, the entire product covered the crack that was almost 10 inches long, the sticky surface is strong, we placed a heavy box on the surface and left it for 3 days, the crack is sealed! ... show more

Pulling off the plastic protective sheet was hard as the tar like substance was oozing out and covering the plastic. Also made it so I wasted 1 sheet because when I pulled the plastic off it snapped back causing the vinyl sheet to stick to itself (that was my fault and not why I rated 3 stars). I prepped my tub with sandpaper and alcohol and even drilled a few small holes to prevent the crack from getting bigger. It's patched fine, no leaks so that's good but I feel like there's too much adhesive because around the edges within a week the adhesive has expanded out from the patch causing the adhesive to bleed out and smear everywhere on the patches. We have an old fiber glass shower surround (20 years plus) and the floor is beginning to crack and craze. I was able to cut this patch to fit over 2 separate areas and it works very well- cleaning the area for patching is a *must for every best adhesion, once it's on the patch seals perfectly.

I received this about 3 days ago and am just now getting into it. I’m writing this as I’m opening the item. It’s taken me almost 20 mins (not an exaggeration) to even get the patch out of the package. It comes in a cardboard envelope, and the patch is pretty much fused to the inside. I tried to carefully wiggle and tug at it from the top and sides and gave up. My kid grabbed it, spent another 5 mins trying what I did, then just ripped the whole envelope apart. Thing was stuck all the way around. When it finally came off, there were little cardboard pieces stuck all around it and the adhesive is all bunched on the sides. My tub hasnt a HUGE crack in it where I’m going to have to replace the whole thing soon. But I needed/wanted something temporary to hopefully hold me over until then. I’ve searched and searched for patches and was hoping this was finally it. Great…. I’ll try it (because I’m desperate) and edit my review if it works on the tub, but this is NOT a good first take on this item. ... show more
