This is a long carrier, which I needed to trick my cat to get inside and stay there long enough for me to zip him up in it, Sammy being the most suspicious and twisty, slinky cat that ever was. I was gifted a 7 year old cat after my former cat of many years died. I had a wheeled carrier for him and never had a problem planting treats in the carrier and them dumping him inside whenever we needed to go to the vet but Sammy was another matter. There was NO tricking THIS cat . . . I finally - on my vet's direction - had to DRUG his wet food, wait 3 hours, place ADDITIONAL WET FOOD in in this VERY LONG CARRIER, then zip him up when he went in to eat it while "under the influence", ALL so he could go to the vet for ROUTINE FLEA TX, shots and blood work, which was for his VERY OWN GOOD, which I explained to him, MULTIPLE TIMES. Wheeled cat carriers are WONDERFUL for big cats - Sammy is 14 lbs. and my former cat was 16 lbs. However, necessary as this particular carrier is for me, my previous, smaller carrier would have been just fine (and easier to maneuver, being one piece on only 2 wheels, and not a carrier and a cart, and cheaper too) had Sammy not been the suspicious, twisty, slinky cat that he is. IMV, unless you have a special situation requiring an especially long carrier, or you need to trick your cat like I do, a smaller option on two wheels would probably serve you as well or better . . . This carrier takes up the entire front seat, was impossible for me to hold in place with the seat belt (fortunately it "wedged in" fairly securely) and is both awkward and heavy to lift up. That said, I would have NEVER have gotten my cat to the vet without it. Also, it has a very large and convenient side pocket that holds your cat's records, necessary treats and whatever meds the vet may give you. (it also has a "strap" inside that goes I know not where and does I know not what). I definitely recommend this carrier for "special" situations, and a wheeled carrier for any cat, but smaller, cheaper, two-wheelers work fine for your ordinary, give-me-a-treat-and I'll-do-anything cat. ... show more

I had a similar but smaller version for a smaller pet. Didn’t like the design then - definitely don’t like this larger version. But I had to have something on wheels (for a brief period of time) for a larger (25 lb.) pet. The wand handle doesn’t fold in all the way and is a royal pain because it sticks out - which not only makes it difficult to get into a car, I can’t imagine it’s not a serious safety problem. Too easy to trip over - and the protruding handle makes the carrier a lot more difficult to handle to get in and out of my SUV. Plus, unless you have a pet that doesn’t move around, the base is very unstable. The nylon carrier material itself is to way thin and flexible to tolerate much shifting in weight. IBecause every pet I have ever had has had the tendency to either cower in the corner or move around too much to easily pick up (or handle) a hand held pet carrier, I now only use wheeled carriers. A FAR SUPERIOR pet carrier on wheels is by ibiyana. I didn’t buy the ibiyana wheeled pet carrier/stroller combination. So I can’t speak for the stroller option. But the iyiana case material (when I bought mine about 5 years ago also much more stable to handle. The ibiyana wheeled carrier is far easier for the owner and the pet. I LOVE the ibiyana carrier. Unfortunately ibiyana doesn’t accommodate a pet over 14 or so pounds. Other than being on wheels and that the carrier in this review has more room, there are too many similarities to what I hate about hand held carriers (too unstable and very very awkward due to the pet’s movements as you carry). Oh, yes this carrier folds nice. But so does the Iliyana wheeled carrier. I had no choice to buy this pretty flimsy carrier (knowing from past experience of the design flaws) because I needed it soon for a specific short-term reason, I am stuck with it. The way the carrier attaches to the frame is the bare minimum to make it the bare acceptable minimum in stability. Yeah I really really do not like this type of pet carrier. The handle is, however, the WORST part because it is too easy to trip over. I tried to attach a picture. Too tired to get Amazon and my phone to play nice. But I am pretty sure pet owners understand what I am saying. ... show more

I have a Jack Russell he fits in there perfectly. I originally bought this to move states via airline for my pup but I can use this anywhere. The quality is 10/10. Super easy to assemble. And the lever to pull is so easy to put away. Honestly 10/10 y’all.
