My old Echo SRM2100, which I've had for over 20 years, just would not start. It didn't take long to realize that the carb had just frozen up - the fuel system must have gotten it gummed up in storage. I tried cleaning it manually, but the lines were rotted, the prime bulb was leaking and the filter looked like solid rock. To replace these parts separately would have cost over $40 - but this kit has ALL of these bits PLUS multiple air-filters and a new Carburetor. Installation of the cab took far less time than feeding the new fuel lines & bung into the fuel tank - but the whole operation took all of 15 minutes. I put fuel in, primed it and it started right away. I did have to adjust the idle speed a bit (it was set very high) but that's not a big thing. For the money - this is a GREAT deal if you want to keep that $300 weed whip running for cheap!

I parked my Echo edger 2 years ago because the carb was giving me a hard time. Decided to clean out my shed the other day and took a chance and bought this carb before getting rid of the edger. It started right up! I should have done this a long time ago. Very easy install. Anyone can do it. Costs a lot less than OEM parts. Hope it lasts a while.

Ordered two of these kits to repair my 20 year old Echo SRM 2100 string trimmer and an Echo PE 2000 edger. The kit included new gas lines, tank grommet, complete carburetor, gasket, spark plug and air filter. The time to replace all of the parts was less than 30 minutes with perfect fitment of all replacement parts. The trimmer and the edger cranked within a few pulls on the starting cord and ran great from idle to wide open trottle, no adjustment was required. Very happy with this purchase and product at this point.

This carb and other bits solved my issue with an older Echo pole saw. Once everything was re-assembled, the engine ran great. Two complaints: 1) The fuel tank stopper was a bit oversized for the one it replaced and I had to take a step drill to the tank to make it fit. 2) the low and high needle jets are hard to get a screwdriver on to adjust them when the engine is vibrating. The Walbro carb that this replaced had guides around the needle jets to keep the screwdriver from slipping off as well as having tapered slots in the top of the needle jets to guide the screwdriver into the slots. I'm at a high elevation, so there is some tuning usually required. Overall, I would buy this again as it was easy to replace all the parts and have a running engine again. I'll rebuild the Walbro carb and eventually put that back on at some point as it's just a better quality carb. But, the saw is running and the job was done.

I already bought fuel lines at Home Depot for more money. Still didn’t fix the carburetor but then got this kit! Perfect fit , cheaper than just the fuel lines and no more carburetor problems. Just fine tune the fast speed jet by 1 turn. Revs up great now. Don’t lean it out too much so you don’t hurt the piston. Ten minutes and I’m done !! Will fix more weed eaters and blowers this way again. !! I day delivery.

I had an Echo GT2000 edger sitting in my garage unused for about 8 years. I retired it after it was difficult to start. For 8 years I used another 4-cycle edger that decided to quit a few weeks ago. SO, I then decided to buy this carburetor and REFURB the ECHO GT2000! It was easy to install. I disposed of the old fuel in the tank BEFORE start up. The only difference from stock carb was this one was pre set to idle a little faster. I have not altered the adjustment screw yet for idle because it rarely at idle. A great purchase to refurb any tired engine.

Installed this carb along with the new fuel lines, spark plug and air filter and the engine fired right up. Had to turn the fuel screw maybe 1/8th turn in to clean-up running at full throttle. Otherwise, I don't remember it ever running as well as it does now. Very clean and responsive from idle to full throttle. As pointed out by others, the rubber grommet is slightly large for the fuel tank hole. Enlarged the hole a couple of sizes with a step drill bit and it fits perfectly now. Overall, very good value.

This was one of many similar carburetors, offered at prices that seem ridiculous. I had an Echo SRM-2100 that I broke off a piece of the casting that held the idle adj. screw. There was enough thread remaining to hold the screw with a zip-tie. But the trimmer would be a bit temperamental and I recently hit a nest of yellow jackets while weed whacking. In the downtime after bee guy eradicated, I looked for carbs on the net. I scrutinized the dimensions of the orifices and despite the fact that this was a bit bigger in the exterior footprint, it fit great. The fact that you get 2 air filters and 2 extra primer bulbs w/checks, a spark plug and new fuel lines. WOW! The fuel line grommet was to big, but I was able to use the old one. Twist and push the new lines through.
