My original battery pooped out after about a year. It slowly, barely kept a charge long enough to start up. So I looked it up and found this battery. It was inexpensive, I had a rebate by Amazon, and I think it was a Amazon Choice battery. I believe after rebate and discount I paid about $22. Easy install. 3 screws and the battery cable had to be switched, back easily came off the laptop. It had 65% charge. Installed, and it went to 100% in a 1/2 hour. If it runs a hour or two off the electricity, it’ll be a decent buy. I hope this help those who may have a DELL G5 15 (5587) laptop. It fits. It charges. It’s inexpensive!

My battery in my 5 year old XPS15 7590 had given up the ghost for a couple of months. I decided to try these batteries. Taking the battery out with the screwdrivers they provide was good enough for a one time install. I would suggest looking at couple of You Tube videos to familiarize yourself with the process. The replacement was a painless process. The batteries seem to work and hold its charge for now. I will wait for a couple of months to assess whether they indeed hold their charge. There were no Dell BIOS detected error signals that other people have reported.

Simple and fast install most anyone can do if they have the right tools micro screwdrivers - Look up youtube install video if questions. The hardest part was getting the plug in connection to seat. I seem to get 4-6 hours on full charge watching videos or streaming. No idea how long it will last so can only give 3 stars

I am trying to reach out to them and am not able to reach anyone except Amazon and bots. The battery came in a great package and was very easily replaced by me. I then started to see that the battery will not hold a charge after 30% I thought that was a new battery problem. But now it will not even allow my laptop to go to sleep because it will not hold a charge at all. I need to use my laptop for work so this needs to be resolved asap.

Replaced my old battery on my Dell XPS 15-9550 that had minor swelling and couldn't hold a charge for more than 20 minutes. The included tools made installation a breeze, and the new battery lasts for well over 6 hours on a full charge. Will update review if any issues arise later down the line.

Was running around looking for tools to remove the casing. The Dell xps laptop uses some type for star screws that's not common, at least not in my tool sets at home. I was kind of bum out that I had to go to my work to get the star tool driver. I decided to open the box just to take a look at the battery. When I took the battery out, the tools to open the laptop are all included! This made my day. Install was a breeze. They should wrap the connector together like the OEM battery so it sits in the laptop more easily. I had to push the multiple line into place. Other than that, it was easy to install. After install, I charged it for several days while using the laptop plugged it. On 4th day I used on battery power and it gave me almost 5 hours of battery life ( I use it in on 100% battery saving mode). Overall am happy and would recommend this battery to anyone.
