Biggest winch available this does not disappoint. Easy loading of half ton and 1ton trucks usually what it's used for on my end. So far so good its been half a year of use. No faults. The magnetic wireless remote is a neat feature you dont get with the smaller units. Stick remote to underside of tool box lid wont get crushed anymore. I purchased their weather cover as well to prolong any wear and its been doing a good job. Lastly This company also has a good customer support that's why I have 4 of their winches.

The media could not be loaded. This was a bear to install. To start, I have a 2019 4Runner TRD ORP. The winch plate is inset into the bumper. Had I known how interesting this install would be, I'd have gone with a smaller winch, lol. I had to fab my own mounting plate for the solenoid with random crap I had laying around (don't worry, it's angled so it won't collect water). I had to get creative with the mounting brackets for the trans cooler line. The jumper wire that was provided for the battery>solenoid was NOT long enough (Stegodon, write that down), so I bought a spare battery cable and re-terminated it for my purposes. Yes, I need to adjust my flow path for the wires, don't come for me. All in all, pain in the butt, but was able to purchase or fab whatever I needed. And yes, the wireless controller does indeed work wirelessly. Good luck on yalls install!!!

This winch is sturdy and well built. Packaging was exceptional along with everything inside. Very easy to set up and comes with instructions for those who aren't mechanically inclined. I have it inside of my enclosed trailer and have already used it numerous times. I'll update the review in a year, but so far it's been a rock solid unit. Looking to purchase as second one. Best bang for your buck hands down.

Well so far winch is junk. Installed a new bumper and this winch took around 5 hrs to complete and when I tried the winch it only operates in the out direction. With Both the wire and wireless controllers Amazon won’t take it back because of the weight but hopefully they make it right. On the other hand I contacted the company and they said do not worry it will be made right if not by Amazon then by them. Hopefully an update will be positive. Update. Amazon refunded my $ and the company (stegodon) sent me the part needed to make it work. Another hr swapping parts. So it was almost worth the hassle of getting a free winch. But wouldn’t buy again. Smitty built if looking for a good lower price winch.

So I was a little hesitant to buy a winch off of Amazon, but I did it just to get me by till my other one gets here. So far it has done good. Installed the same day it was delivered, took about 1 hour but could have been done a lot quicker, I had to pull the old winch off and fix my old bumper. Me and a buddy went to the beach and found a guy stuck in the mud and surf. Used the winch to pull him out. So it done one job so far. The winch is great for the price of the unit. It’s not a named brand but for the price it seems to be built well. We will see how long and how well it works in the coming weeks. I will update the review as time goes on. I will add I didn’t use the supplied hook, for a 13,500 winch the hook didn’t seem right. After a couple of months of use I can say this is a great winch. We live on the gulf coast of texas and have recovered many people stuck in the sand mud and water

I went with this winch based on price and our planned occasional use. Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience, unit is being returned. Preparation of the winch was confusing as the instruction manual print is very small and faded. After prep was finally complete, vehicle wiring, and winch installed on the hitch rack... the machine was not functional. It was extremely difficult to unspool the rope and neither in/out functioned. When the remote was activated, solenoid would click repeatedly and winch would not turn. One contact started to smoke and power lead got hot to the touch (controller to motor). Either the clutch is stuck or motor? Either way, it's obvious it wasn't tested at the factory. Packed it up to return it. You get what you pay for, stay away from this thing.
