I installed this on my 2025 Bronco, I was very surprised to say the least. I got this on prime day deals as I have been looking at this brand for sometime. I didn’t want the green one however I couldn’t pass up on the deal over color. Installation was easy the directions told you virtually everything you needed to know outside of torque specs on the provided hardware. Durability: The durability of the hardware as far as the bolts are concerned are a metric 8.8 grade, which is awesome however I don’t think the provided square nuts are the same as it didn’t take much for me to spend the thread and have to replace them with something different. The durability of the winch overall I’m very impressed with at a 9500 pound wench I was able to drag my bronco with emergency brake on and the foot brake applied without any issue on pavement and dirt. Build quality: So far the overall built quality exceeds my expectations. I haven’t had any issues with the winch itself. On that note, however the fair lead is a very soft metal and didn’t take much at all to create a burr that would easily destroy the synthetic cable. When it comes to the wireless remote, it reaches out further than the wind line even reaches so no issues with your wireless remote however, if there is something in between you and the winch, it doesn’t stay fully connected so when holding down the button, it will bring it in incrementally until you get a clear line of site. Noise level: noise levels not bad at all about what you would expect from most winches available in the market today. Definitely not something that would be considered excessively loud. Overall, the main cons to this winch are some of the provided. Hardware is not as strong as it should be so, I would recommend upgrading at least the nuts that attach the winch to your bracket. Definitely replace the fair lead with something quite a bit stronger and more reliable to not damage your synthetic cable.

After running the PM 9500 on my Gladiator for a couple of months, I finally had the chance to put it to work recovering a fellow Jeep. While we were out on the trail, my wife’s Wrangler got pulled off the trail by deep, wet snow. Her front passenger wheel was buried so far that the rear driver-side wheel was completely off the ground. Using a set of Optimise soft shackles, an HFS tree saver, and a Bevinsee snatch ring, we had the Wrangler back on the trail in about 45 minutes. The winch never bogged down, never hesitated, and never overheated. It pulled consistently and the entire time and the synthetic line never showed any sign of failing. The wireless remote also worked flawlessly from roughly 50 feet away, which made positioning and communication a lot easier. On top of the performance, installation and wiring were straightforward. Full installation took maybe an hour. For the price, this winch has absolutely proven itself.

Well so far winch is junk. Installed a new bumper and this winch took around 5 hrs to complete and when I tried the winch it only operates in the out direction. With Both the wire and wireless controllers Amazon won’t take it back because of the weight but hopefully they make it right. On the other hand I contacted the company and they said do not worry it will be made right if not by Amazon then by them. Hopefully an update will be positive. Update. Amazon refunded my $ and the company (stegodon) sent me the part needed to make it work. Another hr swapping parts. So it was almost worth the hassle of getting a free winch. But wouldn’t buy again. Smitty built if looking for a good lower price winch.
