These rechargeable candles are great. I started with 12 and just ordered 6 more. I bought them for my dining room to use them when I have guests for dinner. They sit in bookcases and are easy to turn on and off using the remote. I don't use the timer. I also have battery operated (not rechargeable) candles that are nice, but I have to turn them on and off by pushing a tab on the candle bottom. They are not as convenient as candles that turn on and off with a remote. I previously illuminated the dining room with real candles and oil lamps. I still use some candles that have a real flame, but not as many. Real flames must be lighted with a flame and blown out when everyone leaves. Real flames generate heat, which sometimes is pleasant and sometimes is not, and the oil leaves a bit of combustion aroma in the air. The rechargeable candles are perfect for background lighting. And I now have two stylish rechargeable and dimmable lamps to place on the table to help my guests see their food. I also painted three walls a burnt orange for a cozier setting. Got these for a gift for my Mom. She loves the remote control aspect, real wax and the tip of the wick glows. Nice candle or lamp mode and they dim ! Definitely will be buying some for me !

Needed something with a remote because I always forgot to shut off. These are great. Timers work wonderfully. If I forget to "shut off," they come on the next evening at the time I started them previous evening. We have a couple in the dining room and the others in the fireplace. These are nice candles, but one of them has 3 cracks in the wax at the bottom where the battery compartment is in the wax. I only needed 5, so not returning due to one being damaged, but if one stops working, then I would need to use the damaged one.

Love these candles, no wacky, fake flame dancing around causing distraction. Just a nice, soft glow... great for bedroom. Remote works well, wick with a touch of light at the tip is perfect. Bought two more sets for family members, paired with sets of Amazon batteries to complete the package.
