I have been using this for a few months now and I like it but I can only adjust it certain ways. So this arm stays mounted in one position. I had to buy tripod mounts for my lights so I could adjust them however I wanted. If tripod space is an issue and you just need a consistent light source this product will work great as a fixed wall mount but with limited adjustment. At some angles this arm will just flop over. May take some figuring out to get the position you need. ... show more

Love these! Replaced 4 light stands. They tighten from both ends when you screw the elbow bolt. Really slick. They're perfect for the kind of lights I have. If you went bigger, definitely would want to anchor in a stud, but they'd probably hold a good bit more. That would depend on the ability of the arm to stay sturdy, but for these lights in a 10x12 room, they're great. ... show more

This heavy-duty wall mount is all metal with a heavy-duty plastic knob. When tightened down it clamps down on all the swivels at the same time. Pretty cool.
