My dog is 14 years old and struggles to stand up if he lays down on non-carpeted areas. He also pees and poops in the apartment probably once a week, usually on my front door mat. This thing addresses both issues. It's a standard mass-produced area rug with a rubber underside, which makes it perfect to put on the linoleum at my front door where my dog both likes to lay down and poop. It's a relatively rough fabric, not soft at all, but it seems durable as I'm able to scrub the pet stains with a hard-bristled brush. While the stains themselves do come out, I have noticed that the design is getting faded very fast and the edge stitching is getting frayed in the corner that's had 3 accidents. So rating it solely as an area rug, I would give it 2 stars because it's obviously cheap quality--not soft, color/design is fading extremely fast, stitching is getting frayed with cleaning, and it's just not something I would ever buy again. But rating it as a cleanable puppy pad, it's pretty awesome. It provides traction where my aging dog needs it most. Pet stains come out of it so easily, spot cleaning will actually "clean" the ink out of the fabric too! And the rubber underside keeps any accidents from seeping through to the floor. Washing the entire rug is a breeze too as it's machine washable. Doing a "heavy cycle" with hot water did fade the entire rug, but it also helped blend in the faded spots from doing spot cleaning.

Needed a soft hallway rug that wasn’t $7 million—this is a solid option. It’s not particularly thick, and I haven’t tried to wash it (so jury is out on that claim) however—it’s a 10 foot, actually pretty soft rug, for $40-ish. It’s not the most beautiful, “I have to have it” rug (the credit goes to my Ruggable rug for that) but it is, in all honesty, softer than that, and—can’t stress this enough—about $200 cheaper. It may be a placeholder rug until I find a “forever rug” but for right now it does a good job and I feel that I got my money’s worth
