I recently purchased the 8VR Head Strap with Battery for my Oculus Quest 2, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This accessory has truly transformed my VR experience. So these are my first impressions after having just gotten it and having put it through a bit of a stress test, I'll update if these change but keep that in mind Tldr at the end To start off the one star reviews are definitely worth looking at, this thing is definitely a budget item and the issues of poor fit and cheap materials aren't entirely unfounded. I think they could have been resolved with taking a bit more care of the item but only time will tell on that front. The adjustment knob is definitely way more stiff than I'd like and it definitely skipped once or twice when I was tightening it, and it took a good bit more fiddling than it would have for a better made strap. The back of it could use one more joint so it fits better on the back of your head and while the instructions were pretty clear(the video one from the qr code on it, not the paper one which is kinda meh)they dont tell you how to properly fit it. At least not entirely but I'll go over that later Also it came fully charged which while convenient is definitely a shipping hazard but ultimately not really part of the review so I digress HOWEVER now that I've said all the bad now for the good parts! While yeah it's a budget item it's definitely worth the price I paid for it. Despite it taking more effort than it should've to fit properly once I decided to slide it onto my headset a bit further than was recommended it fit GREAT. Still wish the back rotated to cup my head a bit better but it's far from the worst thing and honestly I didn't even really notice it after a bit of playtime Spent about 2 hours playing some pistol whip to see how it held up to faster head turns and it never once felt like it was going anywhere which is fantastic. It was comfortable and it didn't feel as tight on my head as my official pro strap does. It was almost as comfy as the psvr headset. Almost. Additionally once I found the right fit I was really happy that I could remove it without having to touch the adjustment knob anymore. Which is good considering I don't think its quality enough to handle that. My headset was also near dead when I put it on thanks to me forgetting to charge it and despite that fact it still looks to be about 3/4 charged and my headset is up to 30% so not too shabby Ultimately I'm happy with the purchase.... For now. It's 4 stars because relative to the price it's honestly worth that. But I will say this is something you need to set up for yourself and then never EVER adjust it again. This thing isn't good enough for passing around, and lord help you if you drop it For real, once you plug this thing in and fit it to your dome do not ever unplug it or change it. All the complaints are from worn out charging cords and the knob busting, and I can see why. This thing is cheap and parts of it definitely feel that way. But for the money it's very very good and I would suggest it to anyone who doesn't have to/plans to share their headset Tldr yeah it's cheap but if you get a good fit and leave it that way it's definitely worth the money. But still read those bad reviews to make an educated purchase because they aren't baseless

It is very comfortable and it is adjustable making it easier to fit on kids. This almost triples the use time of the quest because of the large battery. I would highly recommend.

Long lasting battery and price was great. I would have given five stars but my only issues are the hinges and overall size adjustment. Hinges are looser than I desire and adjustment size should have larger size capability. Overall, this headset is great and a winner! Highly recommend.
