  • Diesel heater
Works great for my rooftop tent . I went camping a few weeks ago , one of them nights had dropped down to 36 degrees . Before I went to sleep I ran it on low through for the night and inside my tent stayed at 78 to 80 degrees , we even slept on top of our sleeping bags . Around 4 am it's when it starts to get colder and it stayed at 68 degrees inside the tent . Well worth it . Remote control is awesome and easy to use . Fuel last a long time ... show more

  • One of the best on Market!! One of the best on Market!!
This heater works great! Remote is on inside of case! This thing runs great but got the fuel fault which was just a quick push the fuel pump connector and she fired right back up! You should always check your connections and fuel lines before use for your own safety! This is my heat source and runs 24/7 with no problems. I run off a jackery explorer 1000 v2 always on charge so if a power outage my heater is not interrupted or damaged. These units are super easy to learn and fix. Most problems are because consumers don't pre check or follow safe diesel heater use. This is one of the best cheap diesel heaters on the market and there's videos on YouTube on repairs and diagnosis of problems. ... show more

  • Impressed for about 20 minutes
Received it with no issues. Excitedly set it up and after following the instructions for priming, it fired right up. It was quieter than what I hoped for and the pump noise everyone talks about was pretty much nonexistent. Within no time, it started heating my tent up and I was looking forward to using it while camping during the upcoming cold front. And then.... I received an E08 error and was never able to get it to run again. Each attempt ended with the same error code with the occasional E10 popping up. To top it off, after putting it up and returning it to the next day I found that the fuel had leaked out of the heater and now covered by garage floor. ... show more

  • Versatile and affordable warmth Versatile and affordable warmth
This little toolbox heater is amazing and puts out some serious warmth. I read some reviews that said it didn't come with the exhaust pipe or muffler but that was incorrect. It came with everything needed. When running the exhaust has no smoke..when starting there will be a little. I did not find the unit excessively loud and it runs great! There's 3 different ways to control it. BT app on your phone, included remote control/thermostat/CO detector, or on the front panel. Also, the front panel controls easily detach and include an extension cord so you can mount it remotely (like on the control panel of a van for example). Two things that could be improved in my opinion. 1.) The diesel exhaust and heat vent are on the same side. It's not a deal breaker or anything but some may find it odd. 2.) When you shut off the unit, it goes through a cooling cycle where the fan blows and cools everything down to prevent damage and melting of things. If the unit was running and all of a sudden lost power it likely could get damaged. It would be pretty cool if there was a built in back up battery to allow safe shutdown. Just something to keep in mind. Overall, I'm impressed with this little guy. Pretty nice to have. ... show more

  • Great portable heater
Awesome portable heater with great features easy to set up and use. Light smoke and fumes from exhaust pipe at initial startup as expected but clears up quickly, 160+degree outlet temperature. Noise level is very reasonable for what it is.

  • I would not buy again unless they address the leaky exhaust. I would not buy again unless they address the leaky exhaust.
I am updating this review: I did massive research on diesel heaters and this one comes the closest to best design and features. Except one major flaw. The exhaust coming from the motor is not sealed. The first unit I bought did not leak until I had had it for over 2 months and burned about 40 gallons of fuel. I got a refund from Amazon and bought a second one. It arrived with the same leaky exhaust and an additional problem of a loud fan that triggered a fault and shut the unit down. I complained to the company this time and they sent me a 3rd unit. That unit has the same problem and now the company has offered to refund my money within 4 or 5 days. I have yet to get it, its only been 3 days so I will update if I do or do not. So far though the seller has been very responsive and I am very satisfied. (except the near death thing, obviously. :/ The company was very responsive and I am very happy with the service. It is very unfortunate as this is the best designed unit and it comes with an app that is very simple and works great and does not ask for any data or permissions at all. It also comes with a CO detector which works well. I am still alive to prove it. I have had 3 EO11 error codes (high CO concentration) and the unit shut itself down. (that by itself is concerning but the unit safety guards worked, If I had asphyxiated I would definitely take off 2 more stars). The bigger problem is: I checked the CO warning to see how many units of CO was detected, it did not register any CO. So I do not know if the gas was present or not but it turned off so I'm alive but cold. Amazon gave me a full refund and I bought a 2nd unit as I figured it was a one off problem as it had worked so well for so long. The 2nd unit was also defective. I was sleeping and woke to a toxic smell. I checked the unit (which had shut itself down again) and saw an error code of E063. I shut it down and restarted the unit. After a few hours of operation it happened again. The Troubleshooting guide indicated this as "1) Check if the impeller is stuck. 2) The gap between themagnet (sic) and the wind wheel and the Hall sensor on the controller is too large." I am not a mechanic but still comfortable doing small repairs. The fan is encased in the motor housing. I was able to reach in with a screw driver and the fan spun easily, it was not stuck. After some trial and error I was able to access the motor and found the motor casing is glued shut so I (you) are unable to access the fan. It is un-serviceable without risking cracking the housing. Very disappointed as I had expected an easy fix. I tried it again and the fan seemed to be working well. Just before I sat to update this review it shut down again with a E061 error code. E061 is "Motor open circuit" indicating a loose wire. I checked all wires and tried again this time however, I noticed visible exhaust leaking from inside the unit. I made a complaint to the seller through Amazon and they sent me a 3rd unit. It has the same leak. I have included a video of the problem on 3rd unit. The picture is of the first unit connected to a vehicle air intake manifold which pulls about 10 -20% more heat from the exhaust before it gets outside ( I copied this from a video I found on you tube. It worked like a charm but I have disconnected it before the 2nd and 3rd units to rule it out as a contributing factor. (Original Review) This is a very good product. It has worked flawlessly for the past couple months in 10 - 20 F degree weather. My furnace went down and this was the easier solution. My house is about 1200 sq' 300 or so for an upstairs. it keeps the whole place at about 54 deg. F. I rigged an exhaust heat capture radiator with a small fan and have zero heat waste. If I seal off the upstairs the temp rises to about 60 or 62 deg which is pretty good for 800 sq'. It has worked flawlessly. The app asks for no permissions and does not scrape any information or need any "Registration" at all. That alone deserves 5 Star. After constant use for the past 2 months the unit shut down twice for sensing excess CO2. (Oops, nope, 3 times (it shut down while writing this). Which is excellent because I did not asphyxiate. I do not know why this would happen as I have the exhaust system run outside with all joints sealed with muffler sealant. I would give it 5 star but I do not understand why they put the exhaust pointing out the same side as the hot air. It works for me as you can see in the picture but it seems the natural direction would be out the back. ... show more

  • Noisy fan and loose gas tank!
Based on quite a bit of research and a great deal, I thought I might get a passable diesel heater. I wasn't expecting excellent quality, just passable. Unfortunately, I didn't even get that. Out of the box, the internal blower fan rubs on the housing making a terrible noise and the gas tank has nothing in the case to secure it, so it just rattles around. I reached out to customer service, who got back to me on a timely basis, but just asked for the same information I already submitted in my request (order, model, issue description, etc.) and provided me a "fan adjustment" video link which requires access to the inside of the heater. The one I received was superglued together preventing any access without destroying the case. If I don't get some resolution in the next few days, I will turn it over to Amazon. ... show more
