*UPDATE* Everything I say below still stands true after about a year of use. HOWEVER, I still believe that this isn’t for someone looking for hard hitting deep bass, atleast not right out of the box. The sub that comes with this is more of a mid bass speaker IMO. I decided to try using the existing box, amp, and cables and just swap out the sub. I chose an 8” Hifonics brutus 200w rms sub off amazon for $40. This completely blew my expectations out of the water! For an all In price of about $90, this is an absolute no brainer. The hifonics sub took this to a new level and is powered beautifully with this amp! For anyone looking for an extremely cheap option, or if you’ve already bought this and want more bass, DO THIS! For the price, you will have a VERY hard time finding another powered subwoofer enclosure, especially one with a wiring kit included. If you want super deep lows then this is not the sub for you. If you want to add a little bass to an old truck like me or just want a super cheap option, this is it. If you’re wondering why this enclosure has a tweeter (very odd), it’s because this has the ability to play all ranges of sound. If it is set to “full” it will play all parts of the music, but the bass does NOT sound good. If you set it to subwoofer, the bass is much better. Time will tell as to the overall quality, but for the price it’s a home run as of now. Worst case, if I get a year out of it, I have the wires ran and will make for an easy swap to a higher quality unit. ... show more

    • Really BUMPS, was enticed to buy two now!!
I got this cause of two obvious reasons - This has explosive reviews (pun intended) and the price for the item is really a BANG for your buck. I installed it below my minivan's passenger seat and it really bumps. The speaker does not distort even with the new stuff like Tobe Nwigwe that has heavy low tones. I bump on the streets feeling like I got a low rider and I like it. I'm comparing this to my past experiences of having a 10" sub in my pickup truck, and a 12" in my hatchback vehicle. I'm not certain if the seller will still carry these but they should. It's got juice and quality. Highly recommend since it's got pretty much everything you need out the box. I did have to get some terminal rings for the power cable but other than that it's good to GO! First week update: I did encounter my product's first hiccup, I'm hoping my wiring was loose or something because the speaker wasn't responding but the amp part was on and connected. First week update solution and tip: Make sure the fuse box near the power wire is secure, mine came loose and also my remote wire came off behind my stereo. Thankfully I used heat shrink tubing properly this time plus some electrical tape. Will be hooking up you potential buyers with videos. This was out of stock after I bought mine, so hopefully the new batch of product is just as good! ... show more

My wife wanted her audio in her truck to "slap". This provided more than enough base! For $50.99, i was hugely skeptical that i could get both an amp and subs that would "beat". This made her Chevy Silverado sound amazing! Lots of bass, very loud. I'd highly recommend this for a quad cab truck. Also, it took less than an hour to install! ... show more

So far so good just got the speaker today and installed it... its an 8 inch sub it sounds good not great not overpowering but make a factory system sound better there is some fine tuning.... I want to add a 2nd one maybe itll sound better

    • Do NOT use the included RCA cables, they will break as soon as the speaker is moved.
Great little speaker if you just need to hear the Double Bass in LaValse by Ravel, or want to listen to the score from Avatar. Definitely adds substantial depth to your listening experience. Easy to install, sounds fantastic, but the included wiring SUCKS. Could not get a ring terminal to solder to the black ground cable to save my butt. Use your own 16-gauge wires, or pray that your blood pressure meds kick in in time. ... show more

If you want to put speaker with an Amp on a go cart this is the product for you the speaker cage is made of plastic becareful one of the arms was broke off when it arrived. An this is suppose to be a product that suppose to fit under the seat it takes up the hole seating area no feet room at all i put my seat up as far as it would go it still does not fix an i dont have a VW rabbit my car is big a full size vehicle. The cords that come with the unit look like cords that go to a toy very cheap an thin. The only good thing about these speaker are they are while put together. Me personally theres no way im putting these speakers in my car. But if you like bulky cheap material with a mono sound these are the speakers for you. This 8 inch sub and amp combo is perfect. I put it behind my seat and it thumps!!! I was really surprised how much sound this little thing puts out you're not going to win any competitions with it but it definitely sounds great for what it is and its low price. I would highly recommend.
