I am in love with the Danish Dough Hook! Cleans side of bowl easily after mixing dough, without sticking like wooden spoon & doesn't drag any dough like plastic scraper can. Have used several times & am so happy with this set. The plastic scraper works well for scraping down proofed dough, & pulling dough up. Silicone mitt works well, just need to get used to size if used to larger potholders. But the silicone is much more heat resistant so you can hold pan without starting to feel heat as with fabric ones. Brush is one piece which is nice for cleaning. I have a great silicone brush several years old but metal handle slips out which I do so it doesn't rust, so one piece is better. It also comes with metal bench scraper and can always use another of those. Oiled edge & worked nicely for transfering dough to loaf pans & stretching dough. This lame is made well, and comes with several replacement blades that are individually wrapped. I managed to get blade on handle without cutting myself but when putting away, accidently caught top of finger. Very small cut but so easy to do & don't even feel. Afraid to attempt getting leather cover on b/c it seems another easy way to slice fingers. Maybe with use I will gain confidence & be more comfortable with. But for now I will store in box came in. Already have silicone dough sling & these work particularly good for dutch ovens, but I've also slipped into loaf pans with some success--still need little side liner of parchment depending on size of loaf pan. If you're looking for gift for someone interested in learning to bake bread/or just starting out--this set would be an excellent gift. It really has all those items you would splurge on for bread baking. You don't necessarily need everything, but once you start using these items you wonder why you struggled with other options. Highly recommend this set.

I'm a home baker who loves making bread, and I recently decided to invest in this 8-piece Danish Dough Whisk Kit. This kit has everything you need to bake beautiful loaves of bread at home. From the dough whisk for mixing to the lame for scoring, it's like a one-stop shop for bread-baking tools. The Danish dough whisk is fantastic. It incorporates ingredients so much easier than a spoon, leaving me with smooth, even dough every time. I never mastered scoring bread with a knife, but this lame tool makes it simple. Now my loaves have those beautiful artisan-style cracks on top. The bench scraper is awesome for moving dough around and shaping loaves. Plus, it helps keep my work surface clean. The silicone bread sling is great for transferring loaves to the oven, and the extra dough whisk and scraper are handy backups. Overall, this kit is a fantastic value for the price. The handle for the dough whisk is way shorter then you would think I didn’t think about looking at the measurements before buying but it would be impossible for me to use this dough whisk for any of my recipes everything else in the kit looked nice though I did end up returning this item

My granddaughter wants me to help her with bread making; she lives close, and comes over often, so it is easy to do. I saw this tool kit for dough making and loaf shaping, at a great price, and ordered. This kit is very complete. The Danish dough whisk is a wonderful tool for mixing any thick or sticky dough--not just bread dough; everyone should have one--it is the very best tool for many stirring projeccts! The bench scraper is an invaluable tool for scooting under a pile of dough and giving it a flip/turn, and also makes cleanup much easier. The bowl scraper is also very versatile, and can scrape anything from any bowl cleanly, making use of all the ingredients and not leaving any on the bowl to be thrown away. The fingertip siicone oven mitts make it easy to safely handle hot pans. The silicone bread sling is wonderful for use in a baking pot, and ensures a good crusty--not burned--bottomm to your bread; the long handles make it easy to lift out safely, and the silicone means your bread will slide off easily. It is very easy to clean; this is also an essential tool every baker should have. The lame scoring handle gives you good control over angle and depth of decorative scoring; the extra blades are a real bonus! Everything is very well made, and cleans easily. This kit has everything we need to be successful at our bread making lessons, and I would recommend it without hesitation. This is a complete, high-quality kit, with sturdy tools that will last for years. It would make a great gift for any newbie baker or old hand--these tools are invaluable and versatile, and I am looking forward to showing G-daughter their uses and eating some bread fresh from the oven with lots of butter! Solid 4 stars. The silicone mat is very cheap and flimsy.. everything else is excellent! The whisk is easy to clean. The lame fits in my hand nicely and is easy to use. All around this is a great budget friendly starter kit. I’d recommend to someone starting out in the world of sourdough.
