Top Amazon Reviews

  • So far so VERY good! (Edited three times unfortunately)
Color: Espresso
Everything works as promised. It really looks like the pictures too. The most important thing? The sound quality is MUCH better than I expected from the speakers. It's clear, loud, and actually has a tiny bit of thump to it. No, it's not for rap or hip hop and it will NOT make an audiophile happy, but for the majority of people, it sounds pretty darn good with one small exception. When playing records, it is softer and more tinny in nature as is to be expected. On radio, cd, and the rest, it's much louder and GREAT. Still, it sounds pretty good for a basic record player/all in one unit when using the record player. Yes, it records to SD card or USB from records, cd's, and tapes. That fact is not pumped up enough in the Amazon listing and is a major benefit for those who want to digitize their various media. It's very easy to use and super intuitive. Anyone who has used any of these things alone will have no problem figuring this one out without even reading the booklet it came with. All the standard features are there for the cd player and radio. The record player is pretty basic and does not auto return. the tape player has VERY basic controls. The BT works well and it also has aux in, headphone jack, and stereo out on the back for external speakers should you want more sound. There is also a radio antenna that comes out of the back. It's the thin wire type almost like a bread tie. The radio "dial" lights up and shows cd tracks digitally. The buttons all seem sturdy but not SUPER sturdy. It should last though. For the price, it's well built. This is a first impression review. I will change accordingly if it breaks down. So far, so VERY good! EDIT: After playing around with this thing for a day, I discovered the CD’s were skipping and the CD tray wouldn’t stay open. The CD try would open and then close automatically about 5-10 seconds later making it hard to get a CD in or out easily. I had to box it up and return it through a UPS store. An inconvenience for sure but it may have been damaged in transit. I ordered another one. Hopefully round two will work out. I hope so, because this is a nice little machine assuming quality control isn’t an issue. I took off one star for now so down to four from five. I’ll update when the next one arrives. 2nd Edit: The second unit arrived and all is working well so far. The CD player doesn’t randomly close or skip. 3rd Edit: The second unit is now skipping BRAND NEW (plastic was still on them before I played them) and old cd's consistently. I'll be returning it unfortunately. I REALLY like this thing but I suspect the quality control is poor. Two cd players not working for different reasons in row. I'm out. ... show more

  • Nice quality enclosure
Color: Espresso
My wife wanted a classic console style turntable for christmas, and after reading tons of negative reviews on other popular brands, I settled on buying this one. The packaging was good and initial setup was straightforward. The wood finish is nice and the cloth over the speakers is nice and classic. The unit does have a good bit of volume, but sound quality, as you can imagine in a unit of this size, is like the styling, retro. Not much body to it. The tone arm is plastic, as could be seen in the pictures, however the mechanism is good as it has a soft let down of the tone arm and shuts off the turntable when the tone arm reaches the inside. The quality of the record player feels about like my 1980's Magnavox all in one stereo I had years ago. The radio tuner works well enough, and it does have a permanently attached antenna which works. She did not prefer the yellow cover over the station indicator needle however. Aux input works as it should. Have not yet tested out the other functions like recording or the tape deck, but that is not why I purchased it in the first place. more of just an added bonus. Also did not test what kind of sound the rca outputs have, but could see in the future possibly attaching to a small tube amp to drive some better speakers. Generally happy with the purchase. Time will tell the longevity. ... show more

  • Hits All the Right Notes (haha) With Only a Few Quibbles
Color: Espresso
Not bad for price. Intuitive enough that I was able to figure out .mp3 recording features within a couple of minutes, and all other functions are just like old tape deck/ record/ CD players that I used to use. Sound out of onboard speakers is tinny for records, but fuller for cds, tapes, and .mp3s. I used the output jacks on the back to route the sound through my more powerful home stereo - these output jacks were a big part of my decision criteria! Well packaged and no damage upon arrival. Some small complaints: the record player arm starts the turntable automatically, but once the music is done, the turntable just stops and leaves the arm there. I've seen competing models that retract the arm automatically. If I lift the arm to put it back in the rest, the turntable starts up again (doh!). The tape deck on the side has only rudimentary controls, but enough to get the job done. The .mp3 recording feature for records/tapes (a other key reason I chose this model) is also easy to use, but recordings are *quiet* to the point that I have to crank the volume to hear them. Can't figure how to adjust record volume, if it is even possible. Otherwise, a solid buy technically, and beautiful to look at! ... show more

  • Note: What you need to do before recording to USB
Color: Espresso
At first I could not get the "record to USB" feature to work. The user manual said nothing as to what format the USB flash drive needed to be formatted as. Following the direction and hitting RECORD on the unit, the red LED record light stayed on constant and would not flash on-off as stated in the user manual. And no audio was recorded to the USB flash drive. I experimented and discovered the USB flash drive MUST FIRST BE formatted on a computer in MS-DOS FAT32. Then when recording and after hitting the RECORD button, the red LED record light "will" flash and then is ready to accept recordings. Formatting the USB flash drive as EFAT won't work. Nor will ExFAT work. Nor will the Windows NTFS format work. The USB flash drive must be formatted as MS-DOS FAT32 then all should go well. At least that was my experience. Audio will be created on the USB Flash drive in MP3 format and in full stereo. On a Mac or windows computer and using most any audio editing program, the MP3 audio files can then be edited, silence trimmed out, or volume changed if needed. This unit works extremely well at transferring those vinyl records into MP3 files. And the unit does it all on its own. No cable to computer needed to capture audio recording as with most of those other USB capable recording units. I bought this unit only to transfer vinyl records to MP3, and that feature works great. ... show more

  • getting the right one
Color: Black Walnut
I have been enjoying this LP and CD player. Radio is good. The tapes that I own are slower then they should be. Bottom line is that I treasure my player for delivering music at least in 3 ways. It is something I had forgotten about until my grandson received one. Then the bug caught me and I bought this one, Time will tell who made the better purchase. It will break my heart when it quits working. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive Record Player with benefits
Color: Espresso
We received ours a few weeks ago and have listened to at least 100 records on it now. We absolutely love it. I do agree that it isnt as loud as we would have liked but we simply plugged in a speaker and it now can be heard throughout the house. The quality is clear. We didnt have any tapes anymore so we bought an old INXS cassette at a goodwill and the tape player works fine. We have played 8-10 CD's on it and didnt have any issues playing those. I used the USB function to copy a record and that worked easily. Nice to have back ups plus I can send "records" to my son via USB stick or sd card. Pretty cool feature (benefit) :). Really excited to have a record player again but didn't want to start off spending hundreds of dollars on one. This is so worth the money we spent on it and more. We luckily haven't had any technical issues or need to contact customer service and it's been working hard so far. I would buy it again and may buy one for some friends next. ... show more

  • Wonderful Classic Turntable that does it all.
Color: Espresso
Adding to my review on 7-10-2019 - 5 stars review STILL stand, this player still works as well as the day we set it up. No issues, no problems, no sound output decreases. I searched high and low for an entertainment center that plays it all. My husband is a music lover, and although he loved the "old school" sound of records, he had no idea where to start in finding a good player. I got this for his birthday present, and immediately he fell in love with the classic; look to it. It came extremely well packaged and well protected. The built in speakers are perfect for his small intimate office and they do not overpower it, it does have an RCA output for adding more speakers and sound. The radio works well, as well as, the Bluetooth, cd player and the record player. It is super easy for a beginner getting into record collection and playing. I highly recommend this to anyone, and so far after 4 months with consistent use and playing we have not had any problems. ... show more

  • You might have to get a few to get a good one
Color: Espresso
A 5 for customer service to both Amazon AND D&L. Checked out every single 6 or 7-in-1 player offered about a month ago and the D&L had by far the fewest complaints about skipping CDs and/or low volume. Like 2% total. So, I figured my odds were good. On the 1st one, the CD skipped, Amazon replaced it immediately. On that one the volume was so low at max that if left the room with the door open, I couldn't hear it. So I offered Amazon a deal, give me a discount & I'll keep the 1st one, sending the 2nd one back. They made me fairly happy-as much as they could-I still wasn't happy about not being able to get the product advertised. Then D&L contacted me...after explaining all the above again, they shipped me another one. BINGO! It was obviously used but it works fine on all counts so far. I'll update if a problem comes up but you can't fault anyone for trying to make me happy. If you get one that works, it's a great player, radio and recording device for the money. ... show more
