This 8 gallons instant hot water unit is portable and perfect size. It's very light works well as designed. A 20x20 inch space is adequate for this hot water kettle. All accessories are included in the box even the pressure reliever valve. The 2 water lines make the installation easy and leak proof. The price is adequate for its size and portability.

This was installed in a commercial bathroom that had trouble getting hot water. The copper pipes are in a cold crawl space and have a 100' run between the water heater and sink. It seems like minutes to get actual warm water to that faucet, so this was a perfect upgrade to fix the issue. It is fairly easy to install and was squeezed into the sink cabinet, but I suspect the smaller version would have been easier to fit there. Once heated up initially, it continuously provides almost instant warm water for hand washing. I am questing that I got the 8 gallon one for this purpose as I now feel like it was overkill for a bathroom sink, but it is much better than the previous situation. So far, it operates exactly as it should. We have no leaks or issues, just hot water.

I ordered this water heater to eventually replace a smaller one that came with my food truck as the business needs arise. In my area they require hot water at a minimum of 120°F and 100°F to 108°F for washing hands. If using certain washing equipment (which I will not), up to 170°F. This unit will pull 12.5 AMPS (1500watts / 120 volts). So I rewired my whole food trailer and ran 12 gauge wires through conduits from a 15 amps breaker just for the heater. Having a 30 gallon drinking water tank, this 8 gallon heater has enough water volume capacity. Installation seems easy, attaching and securing to the trailer may be a little challenging. This heater can be set up to 167°F.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this Feelrogast 120-volt AC eight-gallon water heater for a log cabin plumbing project that won't be finished for a while. So I decided to set it up in my driveway for testing. I supplied cold water with a garden hose connected with an adapter. At first I didn't get any water flow. Then I realized that I had put the pressure relief valve on the hot water output pipe. According to the instructions, the valve goes on the cold water intake pipe. So I think it has a check valve built into the valve that prevents backflow and ensures you put it on the correct pipe. Once I got it hooked up properly and filled with water, it took about and hour to fully heat up the tank set to the highest temperature setting. Based on an online calculator, this is how long it should take to heat up 8 gallons of 50 degree water using 1500 watts of AC power. Once heated, indicated by the red pilot light turning off, I used a kitchen thermometer to read the temperature of the out-flowing hot water. My first reading was 160 degrees Fahrenheit. A minute later, once I had the video camera rolling, it was about 150 degrees. For safety reasons, I will set it no higher than 125 degrees once I get it installed. The dial does not seem to have any temperature settings printed on it. So I will test the outflow temps with my thermometer and adjust it until I get it where I want it. Its plastic case is all sealed up with foam inside. There doesn't seem to be any way to open it up. So I assume that there are no serviceable parts inside. This is a lightweight, affordable, easy to install water heater that you can install under a sink or just mount it on a basement wall.
