Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are so great. The weight is perfect. We made smash burgers and they came out thin and the edges were crispy. The handles are wooden and stay cool to the touch. The rest of the metal does get hot if left on the food for long. I also like the dimples on the surface vs some that are completely flat. This helps disperse the oils and not let the food stick to the press when you lift it off. Great product.

I didn't think to review this until a couple years later when I went to order another for my father and father-in-law for Father's Day. After initially having a cheap smasher, this product was a huge upgrade. The cast iron provides the weight you need for a nice, even smash. The wooden handle is a nice touch. After two years of use, it shows zero wear and tear and seems like it will last most of a lifetime.

This item serves its purpose very well. The only concern I have is that the surface area is not completely smooth. But this is what you have when you use cast-iron. I spray some spray-on cooking oil or coconut oil before I use it. It is heavy since it’s cast-iron that works quite well.

This was a lot cheaper than the branded ones that you can get at traditional grilling stores, but the quality is very surprising. It works really well for the price. We haven’t used it long enough to test the rust, but we do keep it stored inside in a cabinet, so it doesn’t have the opportunity to rust. My husband particularly loves the rectangular press as it is great for cooking bacon evenly on our Blackstone. They are a little challenging to store as they are heavy and can’t be stacked very easily, so some sort of hook or something to make them easier to store inside would be nice.

Having a Blackstone is like golfing or homebrewing. You can gwt bogged down in purchasing a whole bunch of useless gadgets that you think are going to make thinga go more smoothly. These arent that. They will be an easential element if cooking on the Blackstone. They are heavy and seem to be high quality. Great for smashburgers, bacon, etc

They stick to burgers kind of bad. I think we just need to try some strategies and continue to season them to get them more nonstick. Besides that they're great quality; they feel heavy duty and sturdy.

Its well made and heavy. I'm not sure how others would compare because its pretty simple idea/design. I will say, cooking burgers and steak have never been better. Cook times are quicker, the meat cooks more evenly and it helps keep the juices in.
