Hubby was super excited to get this! As someone who doesn’t know a kick drum from a snare drum (me!), let alone the different types of symbols on this thing, it wasn’t complicated to assemble as long as you look at the directions and then refer back to the main picture in the booklet to match up the type of instrument and where it’s going to be in the set up. They give you a little tool to tighten everything up. My advice is to not go too tight - just enough to keep it in place from the start. That way the player can adjust as needed for their height and needs. Then when it’s all set don’t over tighten because you’re going to hear a little crack if you do so just go enough to be snug. On his first play with this set up, he plugged in and went! He hasn’t played with all of the functions yet, but as someone who owns a real drum set that he plays weekly with one band and an older electronic kit that belongs to a friend in band group #2 he said this set up sounds/feels way better than the electric kit he borrows and now he can happily practice at home on this (for hours without driving anyway nutty - thank you headphones!) and knows that he’ll enjoy the sound coming out of it and the feel of playing it. He said the sound quality matched that of his real drum set! Score one for the musically challenged wife!

Excellent electronic drum set it sound very good drum head are very sensitive picks up the sound very good , I also got a 20 watt amp to go with it as well and it sounds awesome,I would suggest buying a better throne and bass pedal mallet but I would definitely recommend this drum kit to anyone who is a beginner or professional 😀

The downside: Learn how to use the menu fuctions and program each and every bit of this set, from what sound you like on which drum, to how loud it is. Really non-intuitive menu and sound main board, so learn the instructions and keep them to make sure you know how to access each setting. This is the best way you can enjoy the set The upside: Super lightweight, portable and easy to set up for each and every family member. They work best through a headset, not a performance piece although you can set it up through a home stereo ok with the right amplifier built in, but didn't handle well on the small amp I tried to use, so headset players is best. It's a fun gift for a little person who wants to learn drums, and has some settings for learning tempo and such but the menu really is intense, and not for the casual user. someone who wants to get into it, and program it will make the best of it, but for someone who just wants to plug and play, it's not the best to be honest. Others in the room will hear you hit pads, and such it's not as quiet as I thought it would be. The step pedal kept sliding around and not keeping distance, best on small carpet piece or up to wall. Over time I lost interest in it. Is a tad pricey in my opinion. Was fun while my Adhd let me enjoy it, but didn't last my interest. Easy to fold and move out of the way. Took a long time to put together, so keep that in mind! Save the instuctions! You can adjust each and every little bit. The seat is kind of small but stable. Good for 11-33, or smaller person s-L

Easy to assemble, folds up to a compact enough size that it'll fit in a corner with ease, so if you're working with a small space, this set is very accomodating. Quiet, but you can still hear someone beating on them in the other room. If you're annoyed by that, may just want to skip drums altogether, cause I don't think they're going to get much quieter than this. Still, a ton of options, and sound kits to work with, the material and construction quality is pretty good and should make for a great beginner set or even work for higher skill players that just want to play around without driving the neighbors nuts.
