  • A close match for DMC
These are Tyche Special branded floss. It’s a cotton poly blend and slightly more fluffy than DMC. The floss uses the DMC numbering system and the colors are a very close match. I have used them in several projects alongside DMC with zero issues. The only place I wouldn’t mix with DMC is if I was stitching g a big block of color with DMC and I ran out I would not use this floss to finish that big block of color. It will look like a dye lot issue and it is noticeable. Bit of the stitches are scattered you can’t really tell. Don’t let the DMC snobs keep you from using unbranded floss in your projects. It turns out just fine and I think it has better coverage especially 310. There’s a lot of unnecessary gate keeping in the cross stitch community and people will tell you that if you use anything other than DMC your project will be ruined and awful and it’s just not true. I have not had any issues with colorfastness and bleeding during washing. ... show more

  • Affordable option for beginners and casual crafters
If you’re an embroidery, cross-stitch or bracelet-making newbie, this set lets you build your thread stash on the cheap. You get a lot of rainbow colors, including multiples of staple shades, with 70 skeins. The thread is relatively strong and can be used for hand-knotting and needlework. Remember that these are not branded or numbered, so if you compare them with official embroidery charts, they might not match. A DMC brand would be more suitable for professions stitchers or if you need to match a shade exactly. But for experimenting, learning or doing the occasional craft with kids, that variety and low cost make this an attractive option. In short, it's great for quantity and variety, not precision. I would recommend it for schools, beginner kits and casual hobbyists who prefer an affordable, multipurpose floss set. ... show more

  • Good quality and nice variety of colors
This pack contains a really wide variety of colors and shades. So far it seems to be good quality and is not breaking or getting 'fuzzy' looking. While I feel like this would be suitable for beginner embroidery the colors aren't numbered like your major brands so exact color matching for projects might be tricky. I'm using this for macrame bracelets and other types of crafts personally- so far I have not found anything wrong with it and would definitely recommend it for the price. ... show more

  • Serious nostalgia at a bargain price
Amazing. This brings back some serious nostalgia with friendship bracelet making. The quality seems nice with the threads being silky. They are thinner than I recall, but my memories are fuzzy from decades ago. I’m sure everything seemed bigger in the 5th grade. What I absolutely love about this set, though, is the vast range of colors you get for a major bargain price (well below $10 at the time of my order). It seems like a serious value especially in 2025 inflation times. Overall, I could not be more pleased. ... show more

  • Great Starter Set for Crafting on a Budget
I picked up this embroidery floss set for my daughter to make bracelets with and it’s honestly a great value. With 70 skeins and a rainbow of vibrant colors, it's perfect for experimenting, making bracelets, or just goofing around. The floss is soft, surprisingly durable, and hasn’t frayed or tangled much in use, though it does occasionally knot when unwinding due to having only one sleeve. It’s not ideal if you need exact color matching—there are no DMC numbers—but for hobby projects, schools, or learning the ropes, it’s more than enough. ... show more

  • Wide variety of vibrant colors
This set includes a wide variety of vibrant colors of embroidery floss at very low cost. It's the perfect set to have on hand if you don't want to head to the store when the urge to embroider strikes (it happens, y'all). I'm planning on using this floss for string art, and I'm so pleased to have small amounts of so many different colors, for about the same cost as seven colors would be at my local craft store. ... show more

  • Knots galore, do not recommend
While very vibrant in color and very durable, every single skein is full of factory knots. I cannot stress this enough - how the hell is one supposed to embroider or cross-stitch when nearly every few inches is a knot? I would not suggest this floss to anybody who does a craft. Maybe if you're using it to cut up and throw away. ... show more

  • Decent quality, okay color variety
There are certainly a lot of shades in this pack, covering a lot of the spectrum, but some of the variety is a little confusing. There are, for instance, at least 7 shades of green, at least 10 shades of pink, but only 4 shades of purple. Weird, no? Anyway, the skeins are small, but long enough for me to make a good variety of knotted friendship bracelets, which was my goal, so even if not all the colors I would prefer are in evidence, I'll still get plenty of use out of this. ... show more
