As a new gardener, I'm discovering that some plants absolutely love full sun while others act personally offended by it. This shade cloth has been a great addition for creating a little protection where needed without completely blocking light. The 70% shade level strikes a nice balance. It reduces harsh sunlight while still allowing airflow and enough light to reach plants underneath. The material feels durable, and the reinforced grommets make installation much easier. I appreciate not having to invent elaborate engineering solutions every time I want to hang something in the garden. This shade is just right for my dog kennel. It was easy to install, it comes with included ties to make it simple. I let the shade sit out in the sun for a bit just to soften it up since it comes folded. The sun did its job and the shade is nice and flat. I wanted something that provided some protection but didn't pull too hard in the wind. As you can see in the pic, it does block a lot of the sun but lets enough air through where it didn't want to take the side of my kennel like a sail. The corners and grommets are very well reinforced which I'm grateful for-we live in a windy area. Now in the summer my dogs have a nice cooler spot to play or nap. Glad to have it.

I am going to use this cloth to keep some of my vegetables from frying in the Houston summer sun. I hope to keep the tomatoes producing. They are more of a spring fruit so this shade cloth csn help keep it cooler over the garden during the hottest part of the day. It’s very well made. Seems to be a quality product.
