    • Beautiful closeups on my Blackmagic Cinema 6K.
I'm very pleased. I'm using it on a Blackmagic Cinema 6K with the autofocus beta firmware. The lens is behaving very well and produces beautiful closeups. Before I bought the L mount I used a Sigma 70-200 EF mount with an adapter. It had a nice image but was heavier and the focus motor was clunkier than the new one. ... show more

    • Great Lens and Value
Super 70-200 at least as good as the Panasonic in my opinion just cheaper. Feels pro. Yes the lens zoom ring being where it is takes getting used to and you can use it with the hood flipped but this think is sharp as a tack and really takes your photos to the next level. It’s fast the AF works almost as fast as factory if there’s a difference it’s small. Yes it’s heavy but it’s worth every penny if you got the Pennys to spend ... show more

    • Great optics/images. Zoom and Aperture ring issues.
Best price for amazing optics but have 2 issues with this lens. 1. I wish there was a lock for the aperture. It’s too easy to mistakenly adjust while lugging around. You’ll need to always check your settings before shooting. Probably a great habit regardless but a lock would alleviate at least that one frustration. 2. The zoom ring location at the front of the lens feels counter intuitive. If you’re shooting video without an external camera monitor it makes for shaky video if you zoom in and out. Other than that I love image quality. ... show more

    • Must Have Lens
I've been very impressed with this lens on my Panasonic Lumix S5. It produces excellent results, and you can see its performance in action throughout the drifting videos featured on my YouTube channel, The Fouch Vouch.

Works like butter. Excellent value for the money. Image quality is superb. Native glass would cost you an arm and leg. Images are super sharp. Great glass especially if you’re on a budget. Professional pictures without paying the professional price. Take the time to get familiar with it before you go out on a shoot. ... show more

    • Excellent lens with a bonus!
Great lens quality. Pics and video have been stellar. Focus throw is perfect for me. Bonus: The lens will give you a serious workout - you might not need a gym. Be sure to switch hands occasionally for even muscle building.

    • Awesome Value
Great Value lens but not perfect yet. Pros: Compared to other options in the L mount the value this lens gives is second to none. The build quality is top class, and the material has a great feel to it. The image quality is just as good as the Lumix Pro lens. It is sharp and even at 200mm the image stabilization was impressive. The price point is just great to see. Weather sealing was a major selling point as I work in extreme environments with heavy rains or dust. Cons: The focus and zoom wheel are opposite to what I'm accustomed to, and it takes time to adjust muscle memory especially when using other Sigma zoom lenses. When using the lens hood it imposes on the zoom ring a little bit, making it harder to just reach and turn while looking at a monitor or viewfinder. ... show more

    • It makes focus hunting in medium light conditions when you zoom
It is an excellent lens for photography. However, in video, when I use the zoom, it makes focus hunting even in cloudy daylight conditions. I think it is a compatibility problem with my Panasonic S5 II. I hope it can be fixed with a firmware update.
