Although I got the little bit smaller ones they're still working great our water is terrible here and I decided not to use plastic bottles no more because it's just horrid what happens with them so I saw pictures of whales on the beach and animals on the beach after when they died from being ingested so much plastic and it was just awful the pictures of plastic bottles just flooding out of their stomachs as they decomposed it was just horrific so I made a decision right then to just try to eliminate bottled water and my gravity-fed water filtration system is just awesome it's paying for itself already they only cost me like $3 more a month in Waterville and I was spending like $30 a month in bottled water cases so do the math it's amazing

I believe they will be a viable replacement for Berkey Black. I replaced 2 in my "Royal". First taste was like sugary soft-water (chemically treated). They have activated charcoal not chemicals. The first full cycle seems to fix the taste. Instructions said "no priming needed". Suggestion, trash the first full container (3+ gallons). 👍 At this point, I will probably purchase replacements (future). They seem to be a perfect option. I will know more after the first cleaning.

Even after running 4 tanks of water through these, the water tastes like Chalk. If you leave a glass of the water sit overnight, it tastes like medicine. Cheap Chinese knock off. I previously had Burkey, fluoride filters. The water tasted like Spring water.

The media could not be loaded. I have flushed this water filter 7 times in my water tower and the water still tastes like heavy metals my brita water filter does a better job. This is like an office water filter. Get a PH tester I will update my review when my tester comes in and I will post my results. Customer support is very helpful.
