These make a nice big spot of light. If it is set on 6000K one could be forgiven for confusing it with a Solatube. I've used these as part of a project to replace all the fluorescent lights in my garage and shop. These were used in replacing an 8' dual tube fixture. The light is better focused on the worktable below. The fixture is all plastic - there is NO ground connection - the power wires are the Euro style blue/brown rather than USA white/black respectively. The unit has to be rotated and dropped from its mounting plate in order to change the color setting (the label of which is molded into the plastic - it can be read if you get the angle just right). One minor gripe: These come with 2 pin "Wago" style lever electrical connectors. That is fine as far as they go except that I had no use case for the 2 pin variety. Every light was in the middle of a string that had a prior and a next fixture, so they needed 3 pin connectors. ... show more

I have 3 fluorescent lights in basement and recently one burnt out. I was looking to replace the bulb for $15 but I ordered these instead. Changing lights is pain as they are mounted to drop ceiling so I hope with LED I won’t need to change. In these bulbs are much brighter. Finally I have a door that hit the current light preventing it from opening fully. The < 1” height of the lights now allow door to open. Includes quick connect electrical fittings but I couldn’t use as I have multiple lights in series. ... show more

Pros - Bright - 3 color temperature options - Low profile, simple elegant design - Super easy installation, I've never installed 6 lighting fixtures so quickly - Inexpensive - Instead of wire nuts it comes with wire locks that are very easy to deal with - No bulbs to deal with Cons - The mounting bracket is plastic, don't screw down too tight or you'll crack it - The wire locks are great, until you have a fixture with multiple wires twisted together (they won't fit). They should throw in a couple of bigger wire nuts just in case. My old bedroom lights look so gaudy, so old fashioned compared to these, I think I'm going to need to order another 6 pack! ... show more

    • Bright LEDs with interesting mounting possibilities

I got these lights because they looked interesting. They do look interesting and can be mounted almost anywhere. They give off quite a bit of light (I estimate 200W – 250W tungsten equivalent) and with selectable color temperature. I like how flush and flat they are – I expect to put one in the theatre room so the ceiling light won’t cast a shadow on the floor-to-ceiling screen. And with the white trim, it all but disappears when the light is off. The only thing I don’t like is the mounting method. It’s easy enough to attach the mounting plate to the junction box, but after that it is hard to get the light itself to key into that mounting plate. You have to leave a little slop so you can twist it to get it to align – but the resulting gap above the light is not really noticeable, especially when the light is on. ... show more

I am a member of the Amazon Vine program. I order new items, and then write honest, unbiased reviews of that product, along with my impressions and experiences. I am not paid for these reviews. These TLZ 12-inch circular LED flush-mount ceiling lights will fit neatly almost anywhere. They are less than one inch thick, projecting down from the ceiling. The white ones are remarkably inconspicuous, installing neatly inside a closet (for example) and providing over 2500 lumens of light for only 24 watts of electricity. They distribute the light in a wide, even pattern. I especially like this special feature: when installing the lights, you can simply switch between a warm yellow-white light, or a cool blue-white light, or choose the color somewhere in between. These lights will install easily over any standard recessed ceiling box, and are controlled by the wall switch for that 120-volt circuit. You get SIX of these lights in this package order, for a very good price. I like these ceiling lights and I recommend them! ... show more

These ceiling lights are crisp and clean looking with three light settings 3000k, 4000k and 6000k. These have a mounting bracket that you spin onto the light base after having set it onto the ceiling, flat or flush. You will not need to carve out any holes, circles or anything like that so the install is nice and clean and quick. Comes with hardware packs, wire connectors, and installation instructions. These are energy efficient at only 24 Watts of power used to produce the light setting that you choose.
