Features 5
- This Bonsai Akadama (3-6mm) is fired clay from 100% natural volcanic soil, eco-friendly, no additional fillers, no paint, no dyes, no chemicals, and provides the tree with moisture while preventing compaction.
- This professional-grade akadama is well packed in a reusable sealing bag, the package weights 6 pounds per bag.
- Akadama soil changes color (it darkens) when wet, indicating when to water your plant. Keep an eye that you dont overwater them or dont leave them under-watering, which retain their form when dry and absorb water when wet.
- The akadama is one of the most commonly used mediums for bonsai soil, its rarely used on its own. Combining particles with different structural and water-retention properties allows for the creation of nearly limitless bonsai mixes.
- Akadama is highly porous in nature, and favors faster drainage. It also helps in spreading nutrients to your bonsai tree roots. It ticks off all the necessary requirements succulents needs for proper growth.

Working good

Good product and reasonable price

Smaller bag than expected, but great stuff.
Size: 2QT
Color: Perlite
It's very nice and clean. Exactly the texture I needed. However, I really expected a 2Qt bag to be bigger. It's super light stuff, and so the bag was only about 10"x12"x3" (I'm completely approximating, I didn't take a ruler to it). Thankfully, I don't need a lot, and it's WAY less expensive than I found at any local garden shops.

Great soil additive
Size: 10QT
Color: Vermiculite
I have used vermiculite & rice hulls for a number of years in my putting soil mix for my deck gardening. It help keep the soil moist longer, so I only have to water once a day instead of twice. It works very well.

Just fine
Size: 2QT

My orchids love it.
Size: 6QT
Color: Orchid Soil
I had to repot a bunch of orchids and so far they really seem to love this mix. The different types of substrate separated a bit in the bag but I don’t think there’s a way to stop that. It was easy to use and there were no signs of contaminants. I think I’ll also use this next time I redo my carnivorous plants.

Product content incorrect labeling from manufacturer.
Size: 20QT
Color: Vermiculite
Recieved bag and its not a 20qt bag of vermiculite. Bag on left is the one I recieved claiming its 20qts, bag to right is a partial 12qt bag. Will not use this company again. Paid double for a product I thought was a good deal.

Less material than advertised - will not buy again
Size: 20QT
Color: Vermiculite
The vermiculite was just fine, but the volume was not as advertised. I purchased this bag size thinking it would be perfect in my soil mix. Instead, it came up short...considerably. I was making a 3-part coconut coir, 2 parts compost, 1/2-part perlite, and 1/2-part vermiculite. I would not buy this again due to false advertising.
