A few of the threaded inserts came out but we were able to just glue them back in, let them dry and continue building. Assembly was easy. Once they were available, we ordered the desk, two tall bookshelves and the 60” wide bookshelf. Aesthetically speaking, we LOVE them. Gorgeous set. I shopped for months for a black adjustable height desk set like this and options are SLIM. It seems like everyone is going for the white and natural wood look these days, but being as I wanted this to suit both my husband and I, I wanted to go with dark furniture. Assembly was an absolute nightmare. For all pieces, it was legitimately a 3-4 day job with my husband and 18 year old son both (granted my husband had to take apart a few pieces my son wrongly assembled a time or two because the instructions are difficult). It was tedious enough that my husband ordered an allen head drill bit set (which unfortunately didn’t arrive until after they were done). So for anyone purchasing, I would HIGHLY recommend ordering a set of those drill bits along with these to preserve your sanity and save you a LOT of time. My husband also said to definitely take your time to ensure pieces are turned EXACTLY as pictured because the details in the pictures are small and difficult to see and that causes a lot of incorrect assembly. All in all, we’re very happy with it now that it’s assembled. 😆 The only reason for taking a star off is the instructions. I definitely think they need to re-do those with larger pictures of the details for a smoother assembly. ... show more

Very nice desk! Heavy duty and quality pieces. I love the versatility and the presets for the up and down position was a nice surprise! My previous lift desk did not have this feature, and I was always adjusting to find the perfect height.

Love love love the sit stand feature, the main reason I purchased this one. The gold finishes aren’t as gold as I would like, but still love the overall look. My only complaint.. and it’s kind of a big one.. is that the lowest setting on the sit stand part of the desk is still too high. I bought a really nice Serta chair, and even on the highest setting the desk top is a couple inches too high to be ergonomic. (The lowest setting says 71, which I assume is metric and in cm.) I plan to attach and under desk keyboard/mouse to see if that makes it more comfortable. ... show more

Great desk! Perfect size and nice color. The wood grain is somewhat lighter/cooler than in the photo, but very pretty. The drawers don’t sit perfectly straight but it’s not a huge deal. Very smooth desk motor operation. When I received the desk (which comes in 3 boxes), one of the boxes was not correct. I contacted the company and they were extremely helpful and got me the missing parts very quickly, especially considering the holiday. They even gave me a partial refund for the inconvenience.     • Excellent Desk with some flaws

I have had this desk for a few days now. And I get compliments from other office workers that they wish they had bought my desk instead of the ones they were using. The design and color scheme are very nice. I like the L shaped due to the fact I have more space to move around. I especially like that is has the privacy panel so that others do not see your legs or feet when you are standing or sitting. The small cubie on the side of the desk is a nice touch. It also has a couple of cubies and a shelf under the desk. Those are a nice addition to the desk. The only issue with those cubies, is that they are a little far under there and you have to give it a little reach to place or remove items. Now I must talk about the issues with the desk. First off, the desk had a lot of parts and made a large snow mess when you are sifting through the pieces. It also called for a lot of hardware to put the desk together and you had to move from one box to another to assemble certain steps. SO, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE BOXES IN THE SAME ROOM. Even though the desk seems pretty solid. The main desktop is very poorly made. It seems to be made out of two thin pieces of wood with cheap board in-between. There are several areas that sound very hallow and you can actually depress the top piece down. Next up is the motor. For the type of desk, the motor does move very slow. My coworker has another brand desk and a slightly better made top a little heavier, and their desk beats mine in speed when lowering or lifting. Great great customer service! Very pleasant people. Pain in the butt to put together and CHEAP material. Feel flimsy and cheap. Some of the parts were already chipped and bent out of shape, and there’s a hole in the top of the desk (photo) revealing the inside of the main piece of the desk -its a cheap hollow piece of junk. This is all out of the box. Had to use glue and improvise to fix. Currently very functional from the electronic perspective. Will fabricate my own desk top with real wood. For the price im pretty dissatisfied. ... show more
