The description said, freestanding and temporary which made me think it was actually freestanding and temporary. But no, you have to either drill into the cement or ‘stake’ it in the dirt/grass. It doesn’t free-stand on the ground. Which is what I was looking for. Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was great for adding some privacy for our pool. Fairly easy assembly but you need 2 people. We had a very strong wind storm after putting it up and it didn't rip or tear but it took a beating, it was leaning after and we had to bungee cord it to our chain link fence for more stability. ... show more

    • Versatile, sturdy, easy to assemble!

I ordered this to replace a small section of fence in a side yard where I wanted something I could move if needed (I occasionally need to access that section of yard for landscaping etc), this is perfect! I needed a little help to get it straight but probably could have done it alone if I had to. The material is very thick, it feels sturdy, seems weather-proof (though high wind may cause an issue). I like that this isn't something an animal can balance on, as the fence I replaced was easy access for some local raccoons who would climb onto it then jump onto my roof at night, sometimes waking me up (not a fan).
