6 pack combo blades 3-45 and 3-60 degree blades -Use to cut media like card stock with the Deep Cut Blades. - IF TEARING OR NOT EXACT corners or fine detail is not able to be cut this is usually NOT THE CAUSE OF A DULL BLADE but rather the use of the wrong blade angle for the media desired. Too often people blame a blade for being dull when if a proper angle blade is used with the desired media this would eliminate the problem in 90% of the situations. This is most always true with the carbide hardening process used on our blades as they are very durable compared to a standard blade metal. -The length of the blade is NO FACTOR, different makers use different length front edge. THE ONLY part of the blade that contacts the media is the angle tip. Deep cut is always 60 degree, Standard is always 45 degree. Do not be confused by a longer front edge as it will never touch what your cutting. -Media and blade choice: Blade angle is not how much metal blade is showing or how thick or long the shaft is. None of that actually comes in contact with the media it is cutting. Only a fraction of the tip ever meets the media. Precision cutting is all dependent on the right angle for the media. **** Update 1/19/2016 *************** The blades are still fine, but it did occur to me that some people have mentioned "these are the only blades they use". Well, think again. The cut angle also plays a big roll in cut quality. Imagine "slicing" a tomato at an angle. Then imagine slicing a tomato with the blade straight on, parallel with the cutting board. You'll only accomplish squishing the tomato and not cutting it. This isn't any different. With a taller angle on the deep blades, you are basically trading cut-angle for "depth", so the effect is like pushing the blade into your material vs slicing your material with the standard blade. I may continue using the Bridge Cutter blades, but I'll be switching over to the standard depth blades. I feel the deep blades are worthless (to me anyway) since the deeper you cut, the higher the material ends up, where you suffer more of the thickness of the blade shaft itself. Notice the attached photo. it is sharp and narrow at the tip, and thicker (yet sharp) at the top of the edge. This is the reason why my polycarbonate got kicked off the sticky mat. The material was binding at the top of the edge and basically... the cut was "OVER", and so was my work-piece... as well as my cutting mat. ******************************************************************** I just got a Cricut and after a couple days of testing, it seemed I needed to buy "deep cut" blades. So I went on a search for deep cut blades. After reading reviews, it seemed it was worth the extra (not few bucks, but a lot more bucks) money to get the original Cricut blades. Well, I needed them right away and the Cricut blades were not in stock (Amazon Prime). I ordered these just before Christmas and they arrived today (12/28). People have said these are not as good as the Cricut blades. People also say they are not as long as the standard blades. It is said these also don't last as long. If you've read my other reviews, they can be very extensive and detailed, but after a few days of testing the Cricut, these Bridge Cutter Deep Cut blades, and based on my application, this is my take on these blades. First of all, I'll say that these fit a little tighter than the Cricut blade (I only have the original blade). Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I work in the industrial environment, working with CNC machines and such so tighter tolerances are a good thing. In this case, a tighter (not binding) fit is better because there will be less wiggle, resulting in a more precise cut. As shown in the attached photo, the blade on top is the Bridge Cutter blade. Below is the original Cricut blade. The Bridge Cutter is obviously shorter than the Cricut blade. Does this matter? I might, and it might not. Based on reviews, this is a disappointing factor since "how can this blade cut deeper if it is shorter?" Ok, base on the included image by Bridge Cutter, it is clear that the depth of cut is not based on the total length of the blade, but the height of the blade "EDGE", which is shown as taller than the Cricut blade. Does this affect the reach of the blade to the material or the mat? No. My immediate need to to cut some 0.04" polycarbonate plastic and after about 12 passes, the material got knocked off the mat and the blade started scoring my mat, so the answer is "no", the shortness of the blade doesn't seem to affect reach (Cricut, I can't speak for any other machine). I'm sure these blades would work fine with stickers or vinyl. I have been cutting a ton of paper and transparencies and these blades are fine. They will definitely not last forever but they should be fine. As far as people saying these aren't sharp or a dull Cricut blade cuts better than a new Bridge Cutter, well, looking under the microscope, these blades are quite sharp. Again, working in the industrial market, it should be known that all cutters are NOT made equal. Not all knives are made equal. So this is no different. The sharpness of the blade is not the only factor in how well it cuts. It's also the method/technique. In this case, other factors like pressure and speed also have effect on cut quality. Unfortunately, you can't control the speed of these cutters but you can control the pressure. A direct swap of the blades may not yield the same results. For those who are not having luck with these blades, try adjusting the cut pressure in the Materials section of your application. So far, I'm pretty indifferent towards these blades which, however, I was hoping the packaging these blades arrived in was better thought out. What you see in the photos is just a cardboard backing and the six blades are taped using packaging tape to secure them to the backing. The rubber caps are a nice touch, but as these arrived, the blades could have fallen out and I could have lost some. These coming from Amazon's warehouse, the picker would just go to a bin a pick up a package, not knowing if any blades fell out or not. These could have been put in a zip-lock or a sealed baggie would have been much better. This product was only $15, so that's about $2.50 or so each, so it's not really worth returning if one had fallen out. I'll probably purchase more of these blades when they all go dull or chip based on my more extreme applications (I'll be trying to cut the copper off copper clad boards to make PCB at some point soon), so I hope my next order will show up in a baggie instead of just taped over, yet loose. ... show more

I bought these to use in my Cricut Explore Air. The regular blades that come with the device wear out quickly, and I had gone through 3 of them since I got it in June. Cricut also markets a Carbide blade on both regular and deep cut versions, but they are expensive. When I saw this package for roughly the cost of a single carbide blade direct from Cricut, I figured it was worth a shot. I am THRILLED with my COMBO 45/60 -6 Standard Deep Cut Replacement Blades for Craft Cutting Machines, Bridge, Cricut, Roland. I could immediately see an improvement in the crispness and accuracy of the cuts even over a brand new regular blade from Cricut. Even with fine scroll-like designs that were shrunk to less than half their original size they cuts were clean with no dragging and no skipped spots. Even fancy materials like glitter vinyl are accurately cut and the blade seems to REALLY last a long time without dulling. I will be using these blades as my go-to from now on! ... show more

These are terrific blades. No issues. Those who experienced torn cardstock probably were using a mat that was not as grippy as is needed. I too experienced torn cardstock, but when I switched to a new mat (yes, I could have just cleaned the one I was using), the cuts were perfect. If the cardstock is not adhered properly to the mat, any blade will tear the cardstock. I have already ordered more of these blades. ... show more

I was trying to cut through a wood veneer, and I could never get it cut through. I finally looked closely and compared it to the cricut deep point cutter and noticed it was the diameter of the fine point ground to a 60 degree angle.

Does not cut through 10 mil stencil hardly at all or 7 mil stencil very cleanly. Not even close to the Cricut deep cut blades, which have worked awesome at cutting through both these stencil blanks. I tried all 6 blades and had no luck, even when I tried cutting at the highest pressure and 5 cuts. The cricut blades cut through at the highest pressure with 2 cuts beautifully (30+ stencils made). I was hoping these would work just as well being they are much cheaper, but unfortunately I just wasted my money as I can't use them at all. Seller tried to be helpful, but the product just isn't equal. Maybe they would work ok with paper and other materials, but avoid them if you are trying to cut out clean stencils on 7 mil or 10 mil Mylar blanks. They are a little shorter than the Cricut blades which is likely the problem. If you say they are replacement blades, then I think they should be equal to the original blades. The seller did give me a refund and tried to be as helpful as possible in responding to me, so I updated the stars from 1 to 4 ... show more

These German Carbide Replacement Cutting Blades and working great! The blades arrived on time and undamaged along with a few other items. The blades are shrink wrapped on a business card size card, so don't mistake them as trash! I am using them in my Cricut Explore, the blades fit easily into the blade compartment of the Cricut. The thickest material I have cut with these is card stock, and the blades are cutting that great even the small delicate cuts are done great, no fussy cutting at all. I will order these again, I am hoping they do last longer than the blade that came with my Cricut. I will label the blades as to different materials they will be cutting, I think this will make the blades last longer also. ... show more
