This bag is as light as possible for the job and that's a good thing for multi-day hikes to keep pack weight low. The price was also good. It might not be as durable as heavier bags, but I avoid putting packaged food corners (trim them with scissors) and expect this will last a while.

The bag is well made and big enough for 4 - 5 days of food. The system works great for hanging a bear line in the back country. The orange rock sack ripped at the seams after only a couple uses but that can be replaced with any little sack or repaired in the field with duct tape, so I still find the system quite useful and lightweight. Remember to hang food at least 10 - 12 feet high and off the tree 4- 5 feet! The cordage is perfect for this length.

One of the carabiners arrived broken and the rock bag is ripping after one use. The pulley system itself worked well and the main bag stayed in good condition. I paired this 5L bag with some smell and water proof silicone bags. It held food and toiletries for one person for a weekend trip. Very disappointed about the rock bag, seems to be a common issue.

Quite a lot of space in this. Seems like it's insulated a bit. You can pack 4 to 5 days worth of food maybe more if you're a lighter eater. Very solid considering the price. Very well built. I'm sure a bear can get through it but i'm more concerned about other critters. Very lightweight and convenient to use. Not sure about the smell proof. After one trip it has a campy foody smell. I might have to wash it but it smells like a sheep wagon.

It's going to be great way to save space and still provide a functional bear protection for a couple traveling 4-5 nighters (assuming dry freeze food). Don't forget to put your toothpaste in it!

Nicely built, a bit heavy if you are into ultralite. Be sure to check the weight specs, It should be slightly heaver than other dry bags, so the additional weight is not a showstopper. The throw cord could weigh less but overall a good deal for your money. If you have the Ultralite disease, then it will be too heavy, if you are a normal backpacker, and don't care about a 20 plus pound pack, then this is fine. Throw bag is well built, as is the main bag. Shipped quickly, and was packed well.
