Very soft and it doesnโ€™t crumple or move when you walk on it. My daughter loves it and it is easy to clean. I use a small hand rug cleaner to clean it and it cleans it great and it goes back to its softness after it dries.

For the price the rug is great. I purchased for my infant to have floor time/crawl. There is not much padding but it's alright.. I purchased a pad for underneath. It does not shed as far as I've witnessed.
