I bought it to replace one that I use to keep deer out of my garden. It is not really water proof but it does get your attention if you are dumb enough to touch the fence wire. So this product worked good for about 2 weeks and now it's barely putting out 1 volt. Worse yet the ad says great service. Sent various requests on their chat website and have heard nothing. I would give this a zero if. I.could. Hopefully the company will gwt back to me but I highly doubt it. Another company promoting stellar service only to fall flat on their faces. ... show more

Good hot spark, I appreciate that the manufacturer conservatively list this unit as a 5m unit but if you read the description it is capable of up to 12m. I have just got it installed so I cannot speak to the longevity of the unit and performanceover a long time but so far it's doing great.

    • Works but might be broken
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to replace our 0.1 joule with this one. It is nice and small and with my 10" x 20" garden gives a good jolt for all my deer problems. The main downside is the sound which I believe is have a bad unit as no one has said in their reviews the clicking. This unit clicks every time it sends current. I have attached a video of this. This is not silent and is noticable from inside our house since the weather proof box I have it in is close to the window. ... show more
