Our microwave is in the laundry room near the washer and dryer so my family has been using the tops of the washer and dryer as a counter to open frozen dinners or put cheese on burritos and such. Because of this there is always food crumbs on them and also falling in the crack between them. I tried a towel across the top but it shifts around too much. So I decided to get this washer and dryer topper to make my job easier. it fits nicely and it can be cut if necessary. It looks nice and makes the laundry room look neater. It is a good quality and it’s nice and thick with a rubber backing so it doesn’t move around. I am not really sure about long term cleanability though…. It can be wiped off but as far as I can tell it can’t go in the washer so I guess I might have to take it in the yard and hose it off if it gets too dirty. I do think it’s a good value for the money. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the question about cleaning it. Also, I was able to get out most of the bumpiness from it being folded in its packaging by rolling it like the directions recommend.

For some reason it looks a little different from the photos. The edges aren't finished very well and while it does lie flat, there was an awful smell straight out of the package. I left it on the porch for a few days before bringing it inside the house.
