  • Works Great but doesn't have all Ego Features, Would Buy Again
Color: Black
Only used once before putting my mower away for the season. Did a full discharge on my mower and it lasted as expected. It is missing a nice Ego feature that shows/communicates low voltage and it just shuts off the mower instead. If this brand is still around for my next battery purchase I'll get it again. ... show more

  • Does NOT last as long as 5.0 Ah original EGO battery
Color: Black
I bought this battery to be run in conjunction with a brand new EGO 5.0 Ah battery and brand new LM2130SP. I bought this extra battery since I was pretty certain that one EGO battery will not last long enough to cut my lawn. I have an 11k sqft lawn. Using the included mulching blade in non-self propelled mode with deck height at position #4, the brand new original EGO battery cut roughly 50% of the lawn. The brand new non-EGO branded battery lasted only 40% of the lawn. Weather was around 80F. These are brand new batteries on the second cycle. More cycles will eventually cut down (no pun intended) the run time. You decide if the less run time and lower cost are justified. I actually thought that I'd have a little bit of run time left in the second battery to be able to blow the clippings off the driveway and sidewalk. I was mistaken. ... show more

  • Better than my original EGO battery.
Color: Black
If you need a replacement or backup, these batteries are a much better deal than an EGO.

  • Saved me from replacing my mower, but don’t leave it on the charger!
Color: Black
I have an Ego 21-inch push mower. It had been giving me issues for quite awhile where it would just stop while I was mowing and the mower and/or battery lights would blink. I spent a bunch of time on the phone with Ego support and they determined that my mower electronics were the problem. I eventually brought the mower back to the big box store where I bought it and they sent it in to Ego for repair. I was never able to get an answer to what they did, but it seemed to be better for awhile. Fast forward to the next season and the problem started reoccurring. I was pretty frustrated and was ready to buy a new mower. As a last ditch effort I decided to try a different battery (fortunately, I could borrow one from a friend). The mower worked great with the borrowed battery. That was good, but the cost of an OEM battery was $250 — which is enough to buy a new gas mower. I was frustrated, but really like the convenience of electric. Fortunately, I stumbled on this third-party battery for $165. It is still a lot, but I figured it was worth a try. I have had it for a couple of months now and it has been great. The mower has not stopped on me once. Lesson learned: Against my better judgement, I had been leaving my original battery plugged into the charger throughout the mowing season. I knew this was not advisable from my experience with cell phones, but Ego support confirmed it when they told me the biggest support issue they face is overcharging. A vast number of customers leave their batteries plugged in all the time and this eventually kills it. I am going to do my best this time to only leave the battery on the charger until it is full, then promptly remove it. They also told me to keep the battery inside the house so it is not exposed to wide temperature swings which also shorten the life. ... show more

  • Dead before a Year
Color: Black
Bought the battery in DEC and it has already died on me and isn’t accepting a charge. Very disappointing

  • Works every bit as well as OEM
Color: Black
I initially bought this for my chainsaw, as the battery circuitry cuts power before the motor. Now if i have large trees or debris to cut I can swap batteries and keep cutting. I’ve taken to using this for the weed whacker as well as it allows me to get all the way through my yard on a full charge, even if it’s been a while since I did yardwork. I’ve only had for about 6 months and about 2 months of constant service so I can’t speak to longevity yet ... show more

  • Instantaneous review requests give one no ability to assess battery life or longevity. However,
Color: Black
Quality and fitment is good both on machines and charger. Assuming quality cells inside and a decent BMS I am expecting a lifespan equivalent to or better than EGO OEM, which is not good in my experience. I love EGO tools but not their batteries which are short lived. I have had to replaced or repair 3 already while not having had to replace any of my Milwaukee or Makita tool batteries which get even higher usage. I will put this battery thru its paces and see what I think of it after a year. ... show more
