The metirial is soft but do the job. Using with focal 806' bookshels, and they are heavy.. I gave it an angle from a hi position, now the sound is pointing to me and im getting a better sound image.

Comes compressed, I got the non adhesive type. Instead of just waiting for the foam to decompress over 24hours I used the water method the instructions suggested as option 2(dunked each square in a bowl of water and wrung out). This brought every piece back to shape instantly. Waited a few hours for them to dry in the sun. In my case I used an air staple gun to attach to the wall, I didn't want to used adhesive on the wall. I originally purchased the 24 pack, which is exactly I hoped for. They have self-adhesive on the back and work well. I purchased the 50 pack next because I needed more. Beware the 50 pack does NOT have self-adhesive on the back. It was a pain to have to apply double-sided tape to the back of every single panel from that pack. I live in a townhome where the walls can be thin. So I bought this to line the walls in the cut out area where the television had to go. I already got along with the neighbors, but they really like me now! Peel and stick and it stays on and does the job. Very happy with this product.

    • BE CAREFUL WHEN SOAKING

When these come they're gonna be squished together, so you need to soak and ring them out, but make sure to NOT SUBMERGE THE ADHESIVE SIDE FULLY, only go up to the very edge and squeeze the two sides together, if you try to ring it out like other sound foam the adhesive paper will rip and tear off, leaving the adhesive able to stick to the other side of the foam and you CANNOT get them apart once they're together. If you get them all soaked, throw about 8 of them in the dryer at a time at high heat for about 40 minutes (depending on your dryer). Don't put them all in at once or they'll get caught on each other and rip. If possible I would try using a spray bottle with water before mounting, then drying.
