  • If you're looking to debark logs with an angle grinder this is what you need.
The blue disc worked well and made quick work of debarking a some hickory logs. The thing that another reviewer called the cheese grater, that's a file and it works very well too to work out any stumps and things you don't want in there. The next stage is your sanding and you're on your own for that one. If you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a professional debarking disc, this will do it. You'll have to clean it up quite a bit but you'll get the job done. ... show more

  • Excellent wood carving set
Excellent set of wood carving discs. Awesome for carving, sanding, polishing, curving and sculpting. 5 different strong discs very sturdy. Makes my wood carving so much easier for carving out basic design. I still use my knife for detail after the general form has been carved out with these discs. What a great quality craftsmanship idea. Great gift for anyone into wood carving. Priced reasonable ... show more

  • great additions to an angle grinder.
sometimes you need a special tool to shape or remove materials. The blades can offer that as an options to other more expensive tools.

  • One star for every wheel that fits
Well....the ones that fit my two angle grinders are the circular saw, chainsaw, and blue carbide wheel. The silver cheese grater and the tiny silver one won't work with a standard size arbor nut. A nut and washer would probably work, but I don't know how secure that is, and these things look dangerous enough without any help. Three stars seem fair, as the three that fit worked well and the two that didn't might be usable with modification, but value wise, I've basically paid $30 for three functional wheels. $10 a wheel, keep that in mind if you're considering other options. The blue wheel has actual carbide inserts, and it works quite well. You have to get it at the right angle for it to not be grabby, but once you figure it out it can hog out a LOT of wood in a short time, or sand off a little bit with finesse. Use it to remove bark, sharp edges, smoothing cuts left by a chainsaw, or making cupped depressions in logs. I could see where the circular saw might have uses, but you won't be shaping stuff with it. Use it the same way you'd use any other circular saw, except with less control. This thing will kick back and grab if the wind blows in the wrong direction. The tiny teeth throw hard chunks of annoying chips at you, eye protection is a must even for people who only practice the safety squint....it's not enough, trust me. Long sleeves would be a benefit as well. It probably won't get much use, to be honest. The chainsaw, well, it's no different than using the tip of a regular chainsaw for shaping. No need to oil the chain and end up with oil on your wood, as the links won't be rotating in relation to one another, everything is held in place. It does afford a little more precision and control (for me, at least), seeing as how all the cutting is done close to where your hand is supporting it rather than a foot or two out on the end of a bar. Aside from deep cuts, this will do whatever shaping a chainsaw will, probably better, with some small drawbacks. A lot less teeth, so they'll start dulling faster than a long chain. It's also fiddly to keep everything together while you're attaching it, don't throw away those two clips as they hold it all together until you get the nut tight. One benefit is that if you have the tools to repair chains, you can buy a replacement chain from any local store and make several little chains for the price of one, and also being able to choose whatever brand chain you like best. I wish I could've tried out the cheese grater and the tiny one, I just don't feel comfortable using a regular nut and washer to attach them. The cheese grater could be bored out to fit the arbor nut, it's just a tiny bit too small, but you'll need a lathe or a friend with one to do that. Honestly not sure how well a spanner wrench would reach the nut if it was bored to fit though, it's fairly deep and most pins aren't particularly long. ... show more

  • Perfect functionality
These tools are from Russia. You will immediately be reminded that there are no safety regulations to get in the way of production there. Raw and dangerous are the key words to describe these brutal tools. Give a set to your worst enemy then sit back and watch. I love'm 😎

  • Nearly useless
I purchased the set to begin playing with wood shaping. On opening it is clear that the photos are very misleading—the chain cutter and blade cutter are full size—the other are as small 1.5 inches. I tried all of them and the only one that is useful is the blue carbide cutter-and that only for flat surfaces. The cutter wheel and chain wheel are scary and should never be used without the side grip and the guard ( I had both) because they easily “grab” and jerk the grinder. I would have been better off with a flap wheel. I ended up ruining a nice piece of spalted maple. This is not a good deal—spend half this on one better quality disc. ... show more
